Oh dear. I saw a documentary on PBS about a man in Maylasia (I think) who had this little roadside restaurant, and served dog. Took you through the whole process. I've never been quite the same.... ...and I'm a cat person
The diners seemed to really enjoy it, though.
Many cultures don't seem to form personal connections with cats and dogs. My friend from Guatemala used to laugh and shake herhead when she saw stacks of cat food cans in my cupboard. In her country, the animals we keep as pets have to fend for themselves

There's actually a small breed of dog in the East that's bred for food. The animals are kept in crowded cages like chickens and aren't anyone's pets. Also, I don't think that people in most rural areas of the world think of animals in quite the same way as we do. I know a woman in my neighborhood who keeps decorative chickens as pets. The idea of eating them horrifies her. These dogs in Thailand are food animals. They're treated as such and no one has a problem with it over there. Killing one is like killing a chicken. I've seen pictures of the darned things, though. You'd think they'd at least be ugly, but no. They look like cute little white poodle mongrels. I couldn't eat one unless I was starving, and I'll eat almost anything.

Our eight wee chickens are nae for eating either. They live in luxury behind the house in a massive shed (much to Lee's horror but we have nowhere else to put them right now) and they are only for eggs. Which they have yet to produce. However....any second now!

He is pleasant enough to look at and his upper body is more than adequate, I'd say. Desert Crossing, yes. I used to watch Quantum Leap regularly.

LOL, you are a cat person, Distracted? From the contex I hope I was reading that wrong. But in Indiana at a car stop on the interstate I came across this bumper sticker:

"Cat, the other white meat".

Yes, cats, unlike dogs, have standards of dignity and privacy. Dogs have no problem with mating in public. But our cat that we had when I was a kid, kept swating away her suitor because me and my siblings were watching. He eventually got his way with her - complete with audience, but our poor cat was not a happy camper about it.

Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four

And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

It's kinda disturbing that they make such itty bitty submachine guns. I guess it's a GI Joe doll accessory.

Oops. Sorry. Not doll. ACTION FIGURE. 8)
