You're welcome. It helped that there wasn't anything I needed to do with the story besides put in the paragraph codes. You write very cleanly, my dear. A very lovely story, too.

Well, this one got the uber-fine-tooth-comb treatment...4 betas, numerous polishes... And I was still surprised when it made the Alternates List. (It's two guys talking at a table.) But sooooo thrilled. :D I really loved writing it.

I had a good weekend all around - brought my friend from South Korea home to show her around - but I found the bargain of the year: a really flattering suede jacket that was originally $100 but I got for $30. And get this: they had one left in the light tan I wanted, and it was in my size! :D

Thanks to the cold weather, I've finally had the chance to wear my favorite hat these past two days. It's not just any hat but a hat. Green wool cloche with a silk velvet ribbon and silk flower embellishment. I love that hat. I rhapsodize over that hat. I look good in that hat.

I know it's just a hat, but it's the little things in life that keep me happy. (And I went to a lovely Historic Hudson Valley event last night... nothing like candlelight and bonfires and good music and light snow and a lovely hat to get one in the holiday spirit.)

Happy news: I didn't get ran over today :? :? like I almost did but I didn't. :) Like I went to the supermarket and the traffic was so heavy and that intersection didn't have like traffic lights only stop signs everywhere, which mean PEOPLE ARE SUPPOSED TO STOP WHEN THEY GET TO THE INTERSECTION duh, anyway the crossing guard stopped all the cars for me so like I look and see they're all stopped, then I start crossing then like some stupid dude drives and doesn't stop like he's supposed to but I didn't see him coming because he was like in the last lane behind all the cars, luckily I stopped in time because the car passed literally a few inches from me. like not even 0.5'. Don't wanna think what could have happened if I took one more step :? :?

Stupid ass driver should go back to driving school though and off the road. For a really long time

Happy news I received the DVDs from Amazon.com that I ordered :D , bad news almost all the Stargate SG-1 DVDs have scratches and some of them have even what I think is residues from the packaging clue. Why couldn't they package them like the B5 DVDs in plastic book type DVD boxes instead of the idiotic cardboard sleeved ones? Only like 2 or 3 of the B5 DVDs have any marks at all and they are minor at that :( . Does anyone here have any experience with getting replacements for damaged DVDs with Amazon? How good is their customer support?

Seven weeks ago Monday, my mom fell and broke her left leg about 2 inches below the hip. The surgeon did half a hip replacement. That is, they replaced the leg part of the hip joint. The pelvic part was fine. The good news is she got cleared by the doctor to start driving again. She is independent as heck. This just gets things back to normal. Yeehah!!!

Indeed twice!
Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four

And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

It was tons of fun, and I get to go to another one of these events tonight before my company holiday party. I love going to these historic HV events because not only do I get to support the maintainance and continuation of these beautiful old homes and the education that they offer, but I get an hour of non-commercial christmas beauty. Tonight includes a walk down a candlelit path with our guide carrying a lantern and (despite the fact that I'm going to be freezing my tushie off in my party clothes) I'm hoping we get snow again for that.

Some people do think it's wierd to have a young woman (who is not a townie) going to these events alone, but I just smile and merrily enjoy myself. Just because I'm not a mom (many of whom are my age anyway, and enjoying themselves immensely) or an old lady or "with the band", doesn't mean I won't love something like this!

Glad about your mom, Navigator. :)

Got my first Christmas card today. Geese on Earth, it says. :D

It's flavored with passionfruit
an appropriate ingredient, don't you think?
