JK, in the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism), they all dress like that! You can make a dress from their patterns or even buy dresses like that at one of their events. Ask Distracted: her family goes to SCA events dressed in medieval garb. I have taught straw weaving at their Boar's Head feast event, locally here in Wisconsin. They even do mediaval battles. A fun group, but I never joined as I have too many other activities going.
Yes, Asso, write a story! Just replace that Human harp with a Vulcan one! Sarek courting Amanda! Soval courting (Human or Vulcan lady of his choice)! V'Lar in her youth with her Vulcan mate. Sivak and Sarah (uh, if anyone remembers my story Child's Play, I was thinking of writing a sequel called Child's Play No More with this pair as teenagers). But Asso could write it if he wants because I may not get to it for awhile.
