Well, early in the first Eisenhower administration, a new CFR entry (Code of Federal Regulations) appeared under the acronym PAPA (Prey Animal Protection Act). This is still on the books and allows prey animals to carry weapons. Our resident lagromorph, aka, Rug Rabbit, aka, Bungalow Bunny, whose real name is Oriana, carries a sawed off 110 pump. She says it is the best thing to blow rottweilers off the sidewalk. So, the wee hampster with that automatic rifle is perfectly within his legal rights.

Well, when I was noticing his hands I wasn't thinking of what he was holding, but how he was holding it. His hands are so...well...human. Like my parrot whose feet are two front toes facing two back toes. He has amazing dexterity. He can hold and manipulate all kinds of things from toys - turning knobs, to my tin whistle which he actually tries to blow into. I really feel for prey animals! Hence the humorous piece about legislation allowing them to carry weapons! And my story 'A Candle in the Wind' about two species preying on each other. I do not allow guns in my home.
