Uneasiness (foolish uneasiness?)
There's something strange in my mind and in my heart.
Something because of which I worry, someway.
From the reading of some among the last topics and the last messages, I had (but maybe I mistake) the impression that many people have a sort of tiredness.
About Trip and T'Pol.
I think everyone knows by now my "passion" for them.
This site is my solace.
Here I found people capable of making "alive" them and their love story.
And I think Elessar has given "birth" to it exactly for this.
But many, too many people, in my opinion, no longer are writing, and I deeply miss that.
Why that?
Maybe I simply feel down and I get the wrong end of the stick.
But, please, tell me I am wrong.
That I am a stupid man.

Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four
And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

Well, there might be some truth to your concern, Asso. Many of us have been at this for several years now, and time has a way of calming the most intense obsessions. Speaking for myself, I can say that although I no longer feel as pressured as I once did to tell my version of the TnT story now that I've finished it to my satisfaction, I still enjoy other people's versions. I must say, though, that the main reason I stick around is for the fellowship I've found with like-minded fans. Whether you're in the dewy-eyed first-love stage of the fandom (Like you are. It's so cute.) or the "old married" stage, thinking of TnT with fond and time-worn affection (Like me.
), there's something for everyone here. Don't be discouraged.

No. I don't be discouraged.
Your words are a great thing.
But you must understand.
My age is old, but my soul is...
And I understand your satisfaction...
But your pen is remarkable.
And I cannot deny a deep desire for your way in describing Trip and T'Pol's love.

For myself, I'm still interested. Not goin' anywhere. I like it here.

It's flavored with passionfruit
an appropriate ingredient, don't you think?

I haven't lost my drive for it, I've just lost the TIME for it (writing, that is). I feel so bad with like 3 things open ended, and sequels for all of them in partial working order on my USB drive just hanging out for me to work on them, I just never have the time
I'm gonna try to get bits and pieces out. If you can stick around till after I graduate school and OCS (~August), I should be a little free-er
Hell, we have the site for like 2 more years just on the donations yall made guys, that's just incredible. I'm so proud and thankful to have had such die-hard compatriots when we started this thing, it made it all possible

Pipe up when you need more donations, Elessar. I'm not going anywhere either.
And Asso, the next installment of the Lerteiran Chronicles will have a little TnT lagniappe just for you.

If I ever write a TnT fanfic, I'll dedicate it to Asso.
I'm sure I will sooner or later, but I've been holding out 'cause I'm writing some other stuff right now.

Re: Uneasiness (foolish uneasiness?)
I still like Trip and T'Pol a whole lot and have some story ideas yet unexplored. But truthfully, it was the character of Soval which drew me into the Enterprise series. And I like all of the Star Trek series!
My best stories, I think, are with the original characters I have created that live in the world of Trip and T'Pol, because I think other fan fiction writers actually do Trip and T'Pol themselves better than I do.
And for some reason my greatest passion is that Liz Tucker (Trip's sister) is still alive. Everyone seems to think that is a silly thing, yet it is something very deep with me. I did write one story about it and am revising it along with creating a sequel. It of course will have Trip and T'Pol in it - so the passion for this couple is still there for me! Events in real life keep delaying my production of new stories, but certainly don't stop them from coming. In fact, some real life events haved worked their way into my stories.
I owe a lot to all the characters of Star Trek: Enterprise because their inspiration (actually the inspiration of all the writers who created the canon stories) is the reason I have developed my writing skills at all, and improved any of the modest talent I may have as a writer.

Working on a major fan fic project. Two-thirds done. Hope to put it up in the not TOO distant future.

Re: Uneasiness (foolish uneasiness?)
Your replies make me less uneasy.
You must understand that probably I have a feelings pathway somewhat different from most of you, and also a different way of displaying my feelings, because of my own culture, like blacknblue often says.
Then you must add the fact that Enterprise's infamous end is recent, in Italy. So, disappointment is still very, very bitter.
But your words make me happy.
I'm very glad and grateful for what you did, Elessar; and I wait for your next jobs (and I add, like we say here: into wolf's mouth! - Good luck! - for your school).
Equally, I await for the next instalment of the Lerteiran Chronicles, especially in the sight of your little TnT lagniappe just for me, Distracted. Thanks.
(BTW, do I mistake, or you said somewhere you would want to use a "medical device" for another "Final Challenge"? Well, what a stubborn man am I!
)
Yet.
You know what I think of your stories and your style, Linda. Your presence in this site is important and I share with you your feelings for Liz Tucker .
And I consider a real pawn of friendship what you told me, CoffeeCat.
A last remark for evcake.
First: I would seriously think about suicide, if you would want to go away (excuse me, please: strong feelings - strong language!
)
Second: Please don't be offensive!
My biological age is about 16! My soul is younger!
(But where did all my hair go?
)
And, in the end, I hope many of the writers who disappeared are reading all that. And they come back.

Re: Uneasiness (foolish uneasiness?)
I guess I'm with Distracted in the "old married" stage. My interest in writing and reading about the Enterprise crew, and Trip and T'Pol in particular, is still there, but time and the demands of real life just seem to get in the way sometimes. I feel comfortable with the people here, just as I did at HoT. It's great to know that I have friends all over the world. Don't feel down, Asso. You aren't alone.

Re: Uneasiness (foolish uneasiness?)
Uh, I dashed a mirror universe vignette off and submitted it last Friday so it should be up soon. Nothing great, but you can see I am still writing! I have two stories that I am working on now but they may take awhile. One of them, is moving forward very slowly because it is a partial rewrite and is novella length. But we all are still writing, Asso, even if the stories are not coming that fast. Hey, get busy yourself and write some more stories!

You're my consolation, Linda!
And, be sure, I'm working on "Homeymoon Evening Part II", and I have a great deal of ideas.
But, you know, I have a lot of difficulties with English Language.
Fortunately I have a remarkable Beta!
I hope she don't get bored of me and don't send me to hell!
Obviously I'm joking!
Everyone knows she's the personification of "sweetness" and "kindness"!

Re: Uneasiness (foolish uneasiness?)
I wanted to add my two-cents as someone relatively new to TriS. I'm definitely continuing to write for the foreseeable future. My poor husband often complains that he's a fanfiction widow, and I can see why, when I spend most of my free time tapping away on my computer at my latest story. I keep on saying to myself, "this will be the last one" but my imagination still wants to play with these characters. Occastionally I write something in another fandom but I always seem to come back to Enterprise.
Writing Enterprise fanfic helped me through a particularly difficult time in my life a few years ago. It gave me something to concentrate on that wasn't real life and I still find it very helpful, when I have a bit of a bad week, as I'm sure everyone does, to work on my writing. It has definitely made me raise my game, and improve what I write.
Having said all that, I wouldn't get the joy out of writing that I do without support from people like you guys here. Maybe I wouldn't have kept writing Trip and T'Pol if it hadn't been for TriS (and HoT before it). It really is one of the friendliest places on the net.
