Re: What are you...
Yeah, Rennie was tall and thin, and would have made a great Vulcan, right? But there is a kind of attraction for me to Rennie because my grandfather had a few characteristics that echoed Rennie. They both to me were tall, thin, reserved, had a lovely Scottish accent, and an enigmatic smile. Though my grandfather's accent was far stronger than Rennie ever showed. So that type of man intrigued me a lot as a kid - especially since I did not inherit the stature, being rather on the short side myself.
Working on a major fan fic project. Two-thirds done. Hope to put it up in the not TOO distant future.

I didn't think he was creepy-looking. I thought he was hot.
Maybe T'PopTarts could make him some ears, hint hint...

It's flavored with passionfruit
an appropriate ingredient, don't you think?

He's gorgeous.
It's a very similar expression to one that Spock often wore...

I recently read that they are in the process of re-making "The Day the Earth Stood Still."

A real "ante litteram" Vulcan Face.
Yes! He absolutely was needing pointed ears!

Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four
And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

oH, my grandfather was luckier than Klaatu...both had a long voyage but my grandfather did not get shot at, only had to go through that green card stuff before becoming a citizen.

Nope, the robot was Gort. Rewatch this movie, it is great - ahead of its time, I think, set as it was in the bug-eyed monster alien days of 1951. I rewatch it about once a year, along with Lion in Winter (now there is a family holiday gone bad sort of film).

Re: What are you...
The Day the Earth stood still is a great movie. Micheal Rennie does look like he could play a vulcan. There's been rumors of a remake of The Day the Earth stood still the Hollywood writers strike put a kabosh on the remake which would not be as good as the original movie is.

Watching: a DVD of the new Dr. Who. The genesis of the Torchwood Institute and the reappearance of K-9. "I'm the Doctor, and I just snogged Madam de Pompadour!"

Me! Me! I never got any as a kid. I was the dorky one with the empty bag except for the ones from the teacher and the librarian.
