Re: What are you...
I have just watched the first two episodes of Rome season two, which finally started airing over her. So far so good.
She's got an awfully nice bum!

Re: What are you...
I watched the Stargate Atlantis new episode and an old Stargate show with Richard Dean Anderson where they live the same day over again. Only O'neil and Tealc were the only ones who happened to remember what happened in the previous timeframes.it was funny.

even the teachers hated me.

(And I never used the school library

The librarian was my best friend. I used to miss the bus on purpose so I could stay in the library and visit. Then I had to walk home, but it was worth it.

And like THEN I'd get back from school and my parents would start yelling at me and punishing me because I "never do anything" and I "don't study hard enough" and they "work hard to support the family" etc etc (in their "full time" 40 hours a week comfortable office jobs

Parents... don't knock school as if it doesn't count... otherwise what are you sending your kids to school for

Yeah it was an awesome episode. I so miss SG1

Re: What are you...
yeah, I"m not usually the type to get down on the new rotation of shows - for example I was never a TNG purist who hated Voyager or Enterprise, nor an SG1 purist who hated Atlantis, or a BSG purist who hated nuBSG, or an XF purist who hated Dogget and Reyes... But LATELY, Atlantis has turned to absolute poop. I couldn't even get through the last episode, and it's disappointing because they did it to themselves. They took a couple of very obvious, deliberate course changes in Atlantis that has made it suck: 1. Killing Dr. Beckett, 2. Introducing Carter as a leadership figure, 3. Getting rid of Dr. Weir, 4. Making Teyla pregnant, and 5. Just doing lame, episodic stories that don't connect back to the Ancients... the Wraith get boring after awhile. Oh I forgot about getting rid of Ford AND abandoning the Michael storyline!
The other thing is that Atlantis has very rarely - if ever - managed to produce any of the iconic episodes that SG1 had. That's what I realized the other day when SG1 came on. Even though with SG1 you're talking about 10 seasons, it had a lot of episodes that maybe were about the overall mythology or maybe weren't - but tons that were fantastic, stick out in viewers' minds: Disclosure, Solitude, Window of Opportunity, the Tokra episode where they had to admit their feelings, the episode where Daniel died the first time and ascended, "The Fifth Race" where we meet Thor and the Asgard, the "antarctic dog fight" episode where O'Neal TOTALLY could have died and it would have been one HELL of a heroic ending, the Moebius 2-parter that could have easily ended the show on a tremendous high note - just to name a few.
Atlantis just hasn't had these, and it disappoints me because it had such great potential. It has had one or two... I just can't put my finger on them. They need a serious turn around, a likable 'ship (Ronon and the new Doc just might do), re-introduce one of the missed, loved characters: Weir, Ford, or Beckett - and get back to arcs.

Hey, T'Poptarts, 40 hours a week at an office can be very stressfull! I certainly can give you some examples! It doesn't sound like you appreciated your parents or that they appreciated you. That is very sad. You are a person well worth knowing, and your parents are PEOPLE too. Unless there is actual abuse in a family situation, it is so sad when parents and children don't take the time to know each other.

Working on a major fan fic project. Two-thirds done. Hope to put it up in the not TOO distant future.

I never said 40 hours a week in an office wasn't like stressful or that I didn't appreciate it. Just that it's not fair that they think that their jobs and their lives count more than mine, and like okay I didn't have like an after school job but school IS full time job, at least mine was and with all due respect to the fact that they both work hard to support the family, waving that "we have full time jobs" card just doesn't work here. Like I may not have a "job" and I may not get paid (hell I didn't even have allowance
