I don't think they'd sale unless they were a serious Harry Potter fan. They're on the shelves with other used librarry books and antique books priced $350.00 a outrageous amount.

I certainly never meant to imply that *all* south americans are like her. I said "she's very traditional" (just her) ....the fact that she's from S.A. was only to further delineate what kind of "traditional" she might be, versus say, a traditional Dutch person, or a traditional Japanese.

Like I also jokingly imply that all Canadians are too stuffy to speak up, but in real life of course there are many different types of Canadians.

It's "Quebecois" ... which can be pronounced in a big fake french accent thusly:

keh-beck-WAH!

Canadians (English) say "kwe-BECK" and Canadiens (French) say "KEH-beck"

Right after 9/11 and a speech by President Bush, thanking all the foreign countries that had come to our aid, some of our Canadian friends called to ask what we thought of the speech. We were like, What a great speech, He said everything he needed to say. Then our friends ask, Don't you think he missed something? We were like, What?

HE FORGOT TO THANK CANADA! WE SHUT DOWN ALL OUR FLIGHTS FOR 3 DAYS (or whatever.) We were like, Whoops. It's not so much that he forgot about you as he takes you for granted, as "honorary Americans."

I'm ducking now so no Candadians throw snowballs at me. :? OH DEAR!!!

I wasn't talking about all of them thar northerners. But ours are a bunch of rabble rousing malcontents. What better qualifications for honorary Americanism do you need?

Yeah, Lee and I were watching that speech live, (I remember this moment like it was yesterday) and Bush went on about all these countries, and Lee and I are starting to go, 'Um what about us?'

And then Bush goes, "America has no greater friend...." and we're all 'oh, here it is' and he finishes "...than Great Britain". And he never said anything about us.

Even though our Canadian crews ran down to ground zero the second the towers fell and risked their lives starting to help dig into the rubble looking for survivors. I mean, we were the closest foreign country to the disaster.

But, y'know, we didn't make much of a stink about it. We just quietly went on our pissed off way. Quietly muttering to one another about how if Bush had come to the aid of OUR towers, and later we said nothing about it while thanking every other country and territory on the damn planet, the whole US of A would have been up in arms the next day.

Ahhhh well. I guess he had a lot on his mind. What can ya do?

And, of course, Bush speaks his own language... so much so that his manner of speech has coined a new noun, the "bushism".

Do you mean he's a Fanfic-writer?
Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four

And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

George Bush's heart is in the right place. His brain however...

I honestly believe that he truly intends and expects his policies to lead to the betterment of the USA and, ultimately, the entire world. But then, (nevermind. Decided to remove this in the interest of avoiding controversy.)
