Re: Randomness
I use all my fingers to type, except on my pocket PC where the keyboard is so small that I only use my thumbs. Maybe that is why I am getting moderate to severe arthritis in my thumb joints?
Working on a major fan fic project. Two-thirds done. Hope to put it up in the not TOO distant future.
Re: Randomness
Dude. Was that the CSI season finale last night?? (I watch it online so I don't know) When is it coming back?? WAAHH!

Re: Randomness
I hate cliff-hangers. Loved those miniatures, though.

It's flavored with passionfruit
an appropriate ingredient, don't you think?

Oh I like Numb3rs too
is it the season finale? I'm not watching it right now because I have no TV but I'll watch it like later or tomorrow.

Re: Randomness
Has anyone seen those absolutely absurd new commercials for ENT on Sci-Fi? "Where the captain gets all the action"?
The man was a freaking monk until Hernandez popped his cherry in Home! Ugh.
At least they got rid of the equally inane "nip shot" of T'Pol from Broken Bow.
I swear, the advertising campaign for the show has been absolutely stupid. Gah.

Re: Randomness
I saw them when they first started doing them about a month ago. Yeah, it's pretty dumb, and I don't think they're going to get anymore viewership even if they're pandering to the lowest common denominator.

Re: Randomness
Wow,what action did the Captain get ??:) until season 4 he was a virgin
,Trip got all the action until T'Pol put him in a leash :sigh:

Re: Randomness
While the current commercial is misleading, I find the commercials that SciFi has made have been fun and more clever than UPN ever had. The "nip shot" existed in the show. They probably wanted something "sexy" so they went for a boob shot of T'Pol. There is a reason they hired a model to play the role.

Re: Randomness
That's not the point, boushh. It's just the ... silliness of the previews that has irked me. The "nip shot" from Broken Bow was just ... they kept repeating the same thing over and over and over and over and over ... and every single scene in that original preview was from Broken Bow. It got to the point, for me anyway, that I didn't care to watch the repeats (above and beyond the absolute crapness of season 2) because those previews were so annoying.
These new one are just as bad to me. As a fan of the show, I feel like the execs are making a snide joke at my expense and sort of talking down to me. The whole thing has a feel of a monumental eye roll about it, like the whole thing can't be taken seriously because its Trek.
Different strokes, I guess.
If you go back and actually look, Tucker actually didn't get much "action." It's something of a misconception that he was a "playa." Compare:
Trip:
Trip: 7. Three were just flirting, one he wasn't even aware of, one was from an empath planet (Krios Prime), one kissed him and he looked surprised, and one seduced him.
Archer: 8 (9 if he had anything to do with Danica). One he kissed, three he flirted with, two he fraked (Erika, Navaar), and one he may have fraked (Rajiin).
So ... how exactly is Trip the "ladies man"? Because he had sex before season 4?

Trip:
- Ah'Lenn (he wasn't aware of what happened).
- Lianna (he had to be told she was interested by T'Pol).
- The alien "chick" in 2D2N (although it really didn't look like he knew what the frak he was doing).
- Ruby (in a flashback when he's 10 years younger and never really seemed serious about it).
- Fishstick (maybe he was bummed by T'Pol's sudden cheerleading prowess during the "Super!Archer and Sidekick!Polly Show" and was lonely.)
- Cole (who, like every other woman on the show, made the first move).
- T'Pol ('nuff said.)
- The chick in "Civilization".
- The alien thing in "Rogue Planet" that appealed to him sexually.
- The spy chick in "2D2N". So ... Archer is already tied in regard to "action" in season 1 that Trip did!
- In season 2, T'Pol is his sidekick and he makes a bunch of unprofessional comments to her indicating sexual interest. As Quills pointed out before the Great TriSilk server move, the execs on the show evidently meant for their to be a sexual subtext there. (Let's hear it for T'Pol the Whore.
)
- We've got that one chick from the cutscene in "The Expanse" (Rebecca, I think?)
- Come season 3, Archer brings "Rajiin" aboard and was clearly sexually interested in her. It's debatable whether he actually has sex with her or she just mind fraks him.
- Moving on to season 4, we've got Erika Hernandez in "Home"
- And Navaar in "Bound".
- There were hints (or at least I perceived hints) of him and Danica having a past at least approximating brother/sister and perhaps more in "Daedalus"
Trip: 7. Three were just flirting, one he wasn't even aware of, one was from an empath planet (Krios Prime), one kissed him and he looked surprised, and one seduced him.
