Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four

And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

Aliens being creepy makes them, well, more ALIEN. I liked Phlox's facial expressions, mannerisms, speech patterns, cultural mind set. In fact, it would have been interesting if there were other aliens on Enterprise, but being pre-Federation I can see why there were not. And going back to TOS, the episode Journey to Babel, there was one Andorian with a strange accent and manner, but all the other aliens had no accents, but had passable makeup and outfits. That one Andorian was fascinating and I wish they had him on more than one episode.
Working on a major fan fic project. Two-thirds done. Hope to put it up in the not TOO distant future.

I agree. Overall they did a good job with Phlox, except that stupid one where after a few days Phlox decided he was the expert on the evolution of a species and convinced Archer to play God. The face-puffing was good because it's decidedly not like anything we've seen in other sentient Trek species. Plus, I think John Billingsley did a good job in the role.

Yeah, I definitely agree with you, JK. Phlox was NOT a Human and he didn't act like a Human, but he was similar enough to where we could understand why he did what he did...

I really like the fanfics where the author introduces, well, "alien aliens", where they have their own morals, values, etc. I like how DC Fontana explored the Vulcan culture (in TOS) and what Diane Duane did for the Rhiannsu/Romulans. (I also love her novel "The Wounded Sky". One of the engineers is a GLASS SPIDER. Wonder how Trip would've handled her. ).

I liked Phlox despite the occasional eww factor (and I agree he was well-acted) but as a character he often just didn't make sense to me. How could he be so personally modest and so openly voyeuristic/sex-oriented at the same time? If he really was so modest how could he bear to walk around the ship naked even IF everybody was asleep? How can he be so modest about himself and so oblivious to it in other people if he is otherwise a fairly sensitive soul?

Mind you it was only the modesty that didn't ring true for me.

On the other hand I suppose he would have been truly unbearable as a ship's physician if he'd been an immodest sex maniac himself AND so obvious with his interest in the subject.

He was modest for exactly one episode, and it was played entirely for laughs.

Well, yeah, you could argue it was one of those temporary writer-brain-fart personality traits.

And Poor Jolene hated that episode you could tell she was uncomfortable in that season 2 interview on the Enterprise dvds when they asked her about it.

Escriba's "Disruption" Chapter 4 is up!

I really like T'Pol's voice in this one. Again, a lot of great lines. Nice job.

And! Now a Mother's Day story from Asso:

"Vulcan Mothers and Mother's Day"

This is an homage to T’Sara and Enterprikayak, and all women who are giving their mates and themselves the joy of a baby. And for all women, because they exist and make life worth being lived. I picked up many suggestions from what I found on Triaxiansilk’s Board.--Asso

Rave review! (from me) for Alelou's Commander T'Pol Joins Starfleet in the decon chamber.

Explaining T'Pol's actions from the Augments through the Vulcan trilogy. Very close to canon, very real and believable! Very sad . . .
