Carbs make your abs stick out all right. I can testify to that. :(

I've actually been trying to stay away from carbs.

Don't want too much definition? Maybe something akin to the Atkins diet then, that's high in protein. You'd know if this was true more than I would, but I heard that protein helps to burn fat and build muscle if you eat a lot of it and work out a lot.

Of course this could all be unwanted or unneeded advice, in which case you can promptly ignore. :P

Careful not to over-do the protein... I used to body-build, and take my word for it, protein will fatten you up just as fast as your carbs will. The average person can metabolize 10 to maybe 15 grams of protein in a sitting. Just for reference, milk has about 9 grams of protein per cup.

I think your best bet is to reduce portion size, and minimize alcohol consumption. Remember alcohol and fat have the same number of calories per gram: nine of them to be exact ;)

Yeah, the thing about anything you eat is that you pretty much have to keep very active or your body will turn it into fat. Happened to me when I stopped working out like I used to in the AF but kept eating the same. :?

I've had trouble getting my abs to look defined, too. I've done plenty of crunches and ab circuits... the MC ab circuit is brutal. Look up 'windshield wipers' lol. But I have to flatten out the skin in front of them to see my abs in the sense of SEE like a six pack. I have one but it isn't visible normally.

Carbs dude. Just make sure you work out like normal and don't slack off or they'll give you a gut instead.

I used to use this site here: http://www.caloriesperhour.com/index_burn.php to calculate exactly how many calories I was burning in a normal day, and then using that as a baseline I could either gain or lose depending on the focus that month.

This calculator is pretty amazing... it's got every activity you could possibly think of ...yes boys... even that ;)

Oh!
THANK JT! :D
Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four

And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

The film with Bill Pullman I worked on in September 2006 opened today in Vegas. :) Here's the trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sKpNx8pksCo they actually show my scene for exactly 4 frames around the 15 second mark

We're like the "East LA High School Choir" and we're performing with Henry Kissinger. I'm the one at the far right. I'm the shortest :? and the fattest :( (um the people in the background are like misc extras they're not part of the choir, just the 4 of us in the front)

You may be the shortest, but if you print this out and take a ruler to it you will determine objectively that you are not in fact the fattest. Not that any of those girls (including you) is fat.

They don't cast ugly fat girls in roles like that, hon. You're all cuties. Deal with it.

Exactly!

However, as a fellow vertically-challenged person (who designs jeans, anyway? Amazonian women? Half the time the 'short' ones are too long!), I can empathize with the annoyance.

Um... the casting notice did ask specifically for "normal weight to overweight" for those roles. :? (As for the skinny chick on the left she wasn't really supposed to do that role in the first place, there were supposed to be only 3 of us and she was supposed to be one of the hula dancers in the background crowd from the previous scene, but like then she decided she didn't wanna do it because she always gets typecast like that because she's like Hawaiian and it wasn't worth it because the hula dancer was an even tinier role anyway, and also TPTB decided they wanted 4 girls for the high school scene but that was like after they finished all the auditions, so they asked her if she wanted to do the high school scene instead. So that's why there's one skinny chick.)
