Re: Randomness

Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four
And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

Re: Randomness
Being one of the miniscule few in America who pays any attention to soccer, and noting our feeble performance (I won't soon forget what Italy did to us, not even talking about Spain) I find myself unable to feel any sympathy for you Asso. Sorry.
It's just humiliating. I don't mind if our country doesn't bother to field a soccer team. But if we DO field a team, we should field a GREAT team. We are the USA. We don't eat anybodys dust! To watch our people get stomped into the dirt by anybody at anything the way they do at soccer is positively teeth grinding to me.

Sorry to hear the news, Alelou. I hope he gets allright soo.
Errr... I beg your pardon? Did we ever play dirty against you or something? Because I don't remember. Spain won the last match against US, but it was a friendly match. It doesn't count.
Spain didn't win an international tittle since 1964, so we aren't as magnificent as we claim to be
Besides, BnB, remember that your team has improved a lot. I remember that in the World Cup US played very good. And since then US is more respected.

blacknblue, please!
First. USA are so great in an so enormous deal of sports!
Let we bask in one of them, at least!
Second. What Escriba said is absolutely true.
Last but not least, knowing you are one of the miniscule few in America who pays any attention to soccer makes my friendship for you grow up, very much!

Yeah, the revolution begins
I've discovered today that our town council and our regional government isn't as useless as I thought. Today we have received (via mail) a beautiful and very practical bag to prevent using plastic bags in our shopping. It's a fantastic idea. I mean, we used fabric bags before, but now everybody in our town has one (so no more excuses.)
And talking about something completely different, I think the Football Eurocup and Spain's victory in it has corrupted our youth: I'm hearing children shouting "¡Podemos, España, sí!" ("We can, Spain, yes!" It's part of this year's song for our national team.) I mean, they're saying Spain, in the Basque Country!Oh, I think our town council isn't going to be happy. He,heee... I'm extatic...
Spain just had the best team. I was glad they won. Did not want the Germans to win.
I love my neighbours

Re: Randomness
Not really, our first sort of date was he invited me to watch the Superbowl with a group of people and had to explain the rules first. I still know them. I really like to see a game. Like rugby too. I just don't like him to comment on the Dutch team, that's all. But I gave him a orange shirt and he wears it

Re: Randomness
You see? That's the problem: they call it football, but it's rugby. And what they call soccer it's, in fact, football.
Well, I want to think we have the best team, but still I feel that we have a little of luck. And yes, I'm sure 1974 still hurts
But anyway, you know what they say about football: it's a game of 11 against 11 with a ball that Germany usually wins

Re: Randomness
Soccer is luck combined with a good team. Sometimes a good team with no luck never wins. The Dutch team had some good plays and luck, and then no luck, horrible plays. It was like they were clued to the grass.
Spain had a good team, and luck, but they also play very good soccer on a constant level.
BTW rugby is American football, played in the mud. With no protection. American football is chess with men and soccer is the only play that deserves the name football, because it is played with your feet.

As Rupert Giles said on Buffy: The Vampire Slayer:
"I do think it is rather odd that a nation that prides itself on its virility should feel compelled to strap on 40 pounds of protective gear just in order to play rugby."

She's got an awfully nice bum!

Yeah. But I was really surprised by Italy. They've always been lucky, that's why I bet for them, and this year... nothing, not even a drop of luck.

But they have some great games. I always like when the guy from the defense - with more then a few pounds, including gear - makes a touch down. Not that it happens very often.

I just loved the game between the Netherlands and Italy (sorry, Asso). Guess luck was on our side for one moment.
