Oh yeah. Cry Havoc is probably my #1 favorite fanfic of all time. My top 3, in some order I probably can't define, are Ragua's Miscommunication, TheCursor's Court & Spark, and Cry Havoc.

Well, even if I'd have been delighted to help, I'd say you did a good job since I could actually picture (and even name) the places they were at. Swing by if you ever have the chance. I found the title funny since my favorite radio host always says "It's another beautiful day here in paradise" after he announces the weather; he's an English speaker.
