No doubt! :D
Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four

And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

I trust you already saw Muriel's Wedding, Asso!

I'm sitting here at work during lunch on TS boards, listening to my new walkman and having to remind myself over and over again:

DON'T SING ALONG. DO NOT SING ALONG. SHUT UP!

AND NO CHAIR DANCING EITHER!

Oy. This thing can really get me in trouble. I don't sing particularly well, and there's also nothing worse than the sound of someone chiming in badly to music you can't hear and they don't know all the words to...

An Argentinian dance group is dancing Basque dances :wtf: under my window (well, in the little square under it; I live in a 8th floor.)

The only Basque dance I've ever seen is the Jota. Gives a new meaning to aerobic exercise. High impact, too.

Maybe it has to do with the time of day (or night) they're doing it?

I'm making earrings - I have a chance to make a few bucks. Which will be welcome, since I'm still not back to work.

Well, for starters Basque dances are usually boring (and they are quite alike.) And second, they were dancing even when I had to go to bed. You know, not everybody is in holidays.

Elessar wrote:Basque dancing! I wanna see, I wanna see!

You have asked, don't say I didn't warn you  I was a little shy to use my camera to film them, but youtube is marvelous and it just happens that my town's dance group have some videos published

The first one seems a publicitary video (and it makes them actually quite cool): http://es.youtube.com/watch?v=CQ4NRRWgPWM

The second is a perfomance in Idaho, in front of Basque emigrants, I guess (you'll understand why I see most of our dances as boring; the "aupa Eukadi" cries makes even me cringe :upchuck: ): http://es.youtube.com/watch?v=mTeLPxifgEk&feature=related

The third is a performance in Denmark (with the girl filming it making commentaries that you don't understand, but it doesn't matter to understand the spirit): http://es.youtube.com/watch?v=-c5w7VRfimw&feature=related

The fourth is a funny video of the dance group (read the information section to know what are they doing): http://es.youtube.com/watch?v=QlunxpMFPGI&feature=related

Here you can see a sample of different Basque dances, although some of them aren't Basque as I understand them (the dancers could be better, but well...): http://es.youtube.com/watch?v=wH0g56PhRcY&feature=related

And this is the "aurresku" or "agurra" (not danced by my town's group.) Basque dancers perform it in front of dignataries (and you have to see the foreigners face thinking "he's not going to kick me, is he?" ): http://es.youtube.com/watch?v=TwXN6QCspHQ&feature=related

Morris dancing is cool! Some of my friends do that in the SCA. It's not as fun as some of the English court dances we do at the balls, though, bowing and scraping and pavane-ing all over the place. And, of course, of all medieval dance forms, belly dancing rules as absolutely the most fun! :D

Actually, although it would probably help, I'm a neophyte when it comes to belly dancing, and I don't do it nearly enough to make a difference. I toned my abs the un-fun way...by eating less and doing LOTS of crunches. My husband also likes to remind me that body type is partially genetic, and that I started with a low body fat percentage for a woman to begin with. I don't see HIM doing any crunches, though. 8)
