Re: Randomness
In medio stat virtus.

Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four
And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

Re: Randomness
Hey Mitchell, my husband is six years older than me. That is not much of a difference when you get to my age. You are not robbing the cradle if you have the same interests and level of maturity! I am happy for you and wish you the best with your girlfriend. I hope your relationship grows and lasts.
Working on a major fan fic project. Two-thirds done. Hope to put it up in the not TOO distant future.

Re: Randomness
My dad is an evolutionary psychologist so I've heard of things like this before. One interesting finding that explains how seemingly different body "types" are sexy is that scientifically, the key to beauty, across ALL races and cultures seems to be the chest, waist, hips PROPORTIONS. So skinny or fat, it is still possible to have the ideal PROPORTIONS. But the ideal proportions seem to be pretty set in stone. Hardwired in the brain. So proportions matter and alot of other details matter less, apparently. I find it interesting in the Star Trek community, that alot of people admit they find particular actors more sexy with the makeup on--Worf is sexier than the actor who plays him, for instance, and that goes double for Gul Dukat (who I know is evil and we aren't supposed to find attractive . . . sorry . . . )
So horrible ridges don't matter. Wide shoulders (relative to hips) do.

I'm donating my body to science fiction.

Re: Randomness
I find B'Elanna Torres more attractive than Roxann Dawson (not that Roxann isn't a beautiful woman anyway). And while Jolene is a stunning woman, add those ears and eyebrows and she's literally out of this world.

She's got an awfully nice bum!

Well! You are absolutely right. Those ears and eyebrows add something sexier and attractive, exotically strange.
I can understand Trip.

Dit-TO! Both hotter IN costume!
I agree with the 'proportions' thing. I think that totally makes sense. I've noticed that about women because I don't have exclusively particular interests. I DO prefer raily thin chicks, but I can find myself attracted to bigger women - like Cally on Grey's Anatomy. I totally find her hot. Probably helps that she's very sexually confident of herself.

I'm growing out my beard and it's very itchy. It's been... about 5 days since I've shaved.

Re: Randomness
A beard? Really?
Here's some of my randomness. My husband likes to have the radio on all night long, and I'm so pathetic that I actually wake up every time they play a Josh Groban song.
1 AM, 3:30 AM, 5 AM...it doesn't matter. Just wakes me up. Funny thing is the song they're playing now is called Awake.

Re: Randomness
Why dude? You're going to have to shave everyday when you get into the Marines anyway. It would suck a lot less if you were already used to that.

Re: Randomness
I want to see a picture when you've achieved sufficient beardness.
My husband has the rattiest Che Guevera beard right now. He's feeling hostile at work, so I guess that makes him enjoy looking like a terrorist. I'm almost glad he's not flying down to Florida with us; we'd probably get detained.

I'll have to shave every day in the Corps, that's why I'm growin it out now. I'm already used to shaving every day. I pretty much do now, so, it's not like I'll get out of the habit. I'm just curious how far it'll grow out because I haven't done it in... months, maybe a year or two. We did for "no-shave November" back in college once or twice. I shave my mustache though. Not a mustache person.

I only wanted to point out that usually terrorists don't look like terrorists. You know, it makes their life easier

Re: Randomness
That's true. Now imagine he's been in hiding for a few months in a hole in the floor, or perhaps out in the jungle.
That's my husband's beard.
He actually looks great in a trimmed beard. And I love his mustasche. But this thing ... this thing is essentially a defiant protest against civil service politics.
Sigh.
