So, I had a real doozy of a dream this morning that made me wake up, wondering if the Lays potato chips and ranch dip I had last night during our weekly D&D game messed with my head. To preface, I almost never remember my dreams - it's kind of disappointing, actually...

I don't really remember all of the specifics, but, for some reason, the crew of Serenity was on this planet that had been taken over by the Skaarens from Farscape. They weren't the normal Skarrens, though, but were all Necromongered out (from The Chronicles of Riddick). In true Firefly fashion, the crew was basically humped as they tried to get back to their ship and away from the Nazi-like bad guys. Everyone but Mal & Jayne were inside this shattered building (the whole city was very WWII Europe-esq, following the Allied bombing), trying to bash a hole in the floor to get access to something. Mal & Jayne, however, were outside and a pair of the Necromongered Skarren were approaching. Jayne was sent to the roof to act in a sniper role before they arrived and Mal tried his best (worst) Han Solo impression as he tried to BS the two N-S grilled him about what was going on and why he was here. Thing is, Mal sucked at being obsequious and he sucked here too. He was also trying to keep his gun from their sight, so he kept himself turned to one side. Finally, he turned to face them head on, revealing the pistol. As both N-S troopers went for their guns, he drew his and shot at the same moment that Jayne shot. One of the N-S guys fell with two bullet holes in his head. At that, Mal shot this absolutely outraged expression at Jayne (a "what the hell did you shoot that one for?") and Jayne shrugged. It was a very Whedon-esq moment in a really weird dream.

Then my alarm went off and I never did find out what the hell was going on.

Dude. I had like the weirdest CSI dream last night. It was like a bunch of CSIs were like in some abandoned building or something and I was there too I don't know what I was there for, I think I was like a CSI apprentice or something like that. Anyway some woman went missing and they were investigating it. So the field CSIs who were there set up like a "field lab" in that abandoned building, it was like a really big studio-like room without internal separation into smaller rooms or stuff. Well except for the bathroom. And there were like scraps of old junk on the floor from I guess before the building became abandoned.

So anyway the woman who went missing was the ex-wife of a former CSI turned PI who also owned a gym. And she was like a total nut case because she thought she was like a vampire or something. The guy's name was Benny. And then Catherine and Warrick went to his gym to question him. And I came with them. That was kinda funny because some people from TriS were at the gym, I remember Jadziakathryn and Distracted were there but I don't remember who else from TriS, I just remember there were a few more. Doing like cardio-kickboxing or something. Then the CSIs asked Benny some questions and he said he didn't know anything and stuff like that.

Then we went back to the abandoned building and Sara and Nick were out on another lead, somehow they got separated and Sara went missing so they were all freaking out. Now they had 2 cases. But Nick brought some good info on the first case. And I went to wash my hands and the window in the bathroom was all sealed there was no way to open it, it was just like a big square piece of fiberglass or something and it was sealed to the wall. And I heard like really weird noises from outside the window. So then I went running to all the other CSIs and told them I heard scary noises then Nick came with me and looked at the window, then he started like kicking the window down and it broke and fell over toward the outside of the bathroom. And there was like a corridor or something because it was kinda narrow that the window couldn't even fall all the way. And then Nick went through the hole in the wall and I came after him and it was like really dark because it was abandoned, and he turned the flashlight on and we walked and we saw like another bathroom and we didn't see anyone and it looked really abandoned.

Then Nick got a call on his cellphone and had to go back and work on the case because they found something and they needed him to check another place, so he went with Warrick and in the meantime Grissom and Catherine worked on some prints and samples etc and they were communicating back and forth with the CSI lab. And then Nick and Warrick called in saying that whatever they had led to nowhere because it looked like someone knew they were coming. And they were on their way back. And CSI lab called Grissom and Catherine and said the water traces they found matched the chemical composition of the water in the lake so they took off to the lake and I went with them because there was no one left in the building.

And then they were looking for Benny's boat but the boat was missing, and they sent helicopters and they found the boat like in the middle of the lake somewhere, so we took another boat to it (because the helicopters couldn't land) then we found Benny's ex-wife in the boat she was like tied and gagged and stuff, but she was okay and we took her back to the building and Nick and Warrick were already back, started questioning her etc. Then there's a phone call and I pick up and it's like a recording saying "alpha situation" over and over again, so I'm like totally freaked out and I tell the other CSIs about it, and they say it means there's someone stalking them. And Nick tells them about the noises I said I heard from the bathroom.

Then Grissom goes through the window in the bathroom and I go with him and he's holding the flashlight, and we walk past the other bathroom in the dark abandoned part, and we see like a rack with some old clothes on it and a small crate with some baby toys and toddler shoes. Could have been there like untouched for a really long time. And we see like shelves with some food on them. Canned and dry stuff. Some of it was open and there were like bugs and stuff in it. So Grissom picks up a bug and looks at it with the flashlight. Then he picks up a can and looks at the date on it. Then he takes his gun and goes like "Benny!" and he screams that they're on to him and he better come out. So Benny comes out of the dark with his hands up and they take him in. And they find Sara tied and gagged and sedated in another room in the dark section. Which has an exit to like another section of the building that's close to the studio-room the CSIs were working in.

Turned out Benny's ex-wife left him and took their kid with her and just disappeared like a few years back and he just tracked her down but without the kid, so he sent his people to kidnap her trying to find out what she did with him but she was like totally crazy, and he kidnapped Sara when she came to close. And he was in the building all the time watching the CSIs and bugging their calls and conversations. Never did find out what happened to the kid though Confused

Well I told you it was like the weirdest dream ever. And doesn't make much sense either Confused Confused Confused

What I don't get is why Rigil had an alarm on a Saturday. Saturdays are for sleeping in! Very Happy

T'Poptarts, the weirdest part is that I'm next to never at a gym and cardio is, for me, the worst. Ugh.

Forgot to turn it off. I've got this pretty nifty alarm clock that has an LED projector thing that, when the "snooze" button is pressed lights up the faceplate of the clock as well as projecting the current time through the LED. Since I have crap eyes, I'm grateful for that 'cause I can hit the button and see the time projected on the ceiling in nice bright, red numbers.

^ Heh I work in the weekends so I have an alarm on Saturdays and Sundays. And it's in my backpack. Razz Whoa for some reason alarm clocks tend to be a really popular subject in our discussions here Confused Laughing

I have like totally no idea why the hell you and Distracted and all the other TriS people were doing cardio-kickboxing at the gym Confused honest.

Hey. Cardio's good for you... and punctuality is virtue. (I haven't got it, so I need an alarm clock. I've got other virtues, though. Lemme think... I can come up with one if I think hard enough. Twisted Evil)

Yep, 250 posts for Commander, 500 for Captain, etc. There's a thread in the Announcements forum listing the board ranks and how many posts you need for each. The rank structure is identical to TrekBBS's, so you can try for that 32,000 post (Fleet Admiral) mark again, KTR.
Was this the army that invaded your country, ma'am? No, officer, they were taller than that...

How about this one? I'm not sure--get them to march up and down a bit...
