OOoo, LEAD writer on insurance and annuity products. I take it back. Your job does sound as boring as mine. Oh, except you are a writer and I am an editor . . . (and here at Triaxian Silk too.)

Escriba is right. I should not compare myself to anyone. I am so glad they came to their senses Alelou! :)

I hope all these storms end soon and Distracted it sounds like you are okay with some minor clean up! These storms are scary - you don't know when and how hard they are going to hit even up to the last hour. And there is little you can do about it. We don't have hurricanes here, just tornados. But they are bad enough.

We are going through a dry spell in Wisconsin, grass is all brown. A great contrast to the flooding earlier in the summer. Can you believe I am looking forward to winter and snow?

JT, it may be boring, but I'll bet your job has given you a good financial education. :?

 Yep. Though I have to admit I actually enjoy wrapping my head around financial products. I never would have predicted that.

I'm not celebrating too hard. They could just be trying to prevent me from moving on while they use me as a convenient bridge to another hire down the road.

Our only saving grace is that we admit it. The downside of that is that nobody bothers to shout it from the rooftops.

Yes, things really are getting better. For you younger folks, things are a LOT better now than they used to be. Thank God.

blacknblue, don't forget that the Paris of "Grand Siécle" was without loos, that Rome had.
Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four

And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

Chilling, Bnb. And that it was around until the 1970s? I hope the law suits that are coming out of this succeed.

I always remember it when I watch "Judgment at Nuremberg" (I think this movie should be mandatory in High School for a lot of reasons).

That happened apparently to some refugees in Thailand in the 80s. The doctor who would do an operation on a woman would sterilze her at the same time, figuring I suppose, she was having too many kids. (This is only hearsay! I have no evidence.) But as a result of this happening or the belief that it could happen, many refugees refused immunizations (believing it was secret birth control).

Thanks for the good vibes, EK. I've been on an enforced vacation for the past three days...stuck in the house with everything closed. I've been cleaning my closets and writing. I go back to work tomorrow.

We were too! I was worried.

Now we're getting hit by Gustav - up in Missouri. Raining torrentially.

It is raining now in Wisconsin. No winds, though. And we needed the rain. So I guess it really is 'an ill wind that blows no one any good'.

Well I'm back with power finally since losing it Monday morning. There isn't any damage to the house but there is some damage to fences in a few places and downed tree limbs everywhere. You can't walk a step without stomping on something that used to be on a tree. Half a pine tree fell as well. An entire pine fell over at one of my neighbor's. Damage is really bad all around the neighborhood unfortunately. My family drove a lap around a day or two ago and found downed trees and power lines all over. I stand as one of the few people blessed with electricity in Ascension parish right now. Just yesterday 100% were out of power.

So hopes and prayers to all those still without power. Thank God for generators.
