Well, I work with the public...and I have to appear somewhat lucid when I do so because I handle sharp objects for a living. Plus, it's hard to get through a day when you feel miserable and have to be nice to people and have to put all your energy into pretending you're not (that) sick, 'cos people don't want your cooties! So, yeah...I'm not really a pill popper, either, but cold tablets are something I make an exception for.

And as we discovered in the dream thread, the NyQuil can be waaaaaaaaaay entertaining!

If I don't stop coughing by Christmas, I'll go to the doctor; at that point, I totally have bronchitis.

Go eat some ice cream.

And what ice cream can't fix, vodka can.

Eww no alcohol for me please :upchuck:

Well I guess for me the thing is that I actually am lucid and functional etc, I mean like it's not like I have a fever or pains or stuff like that so that's why I don't take meds for a cold. I feel better without it anyway :? :dunno:

Most cold meds just don't work. Especially cough syrups. They don't help you get better faster. That's just the unhappy truth. But I'll still turn to a decongestant if I just can't sleep because of postnasal drip, and if I had to keep customers from freaking out about my runny nose I'd use it during the day too.

Rest, liquids, good nutrition -- these are the things that really help the most. Maybe it's time to try some chicken soup, T'PopTarts!

One of my favorite regular Amazon purchases is expensive compared to making your own chicken stock but so handy to keep around and so yummy. You get 12 packs in each box, and each pack with a cup of water makes a lovely cup of really good chicken broth. Add a little fresh garlic, hot pepper and lemon grass or lemon juice and you've got instant Thai soup to warm your soul.

Getting ready to go out in the snow to a friend's Christmas concert. If we'd PAID for the tickets we'd stay home, but they're free so we really have to go!

Did you know there's a plant called a marshmallow, which was used in the old days to make marshmallows? Thus the very odd name? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marshmallow

lol, great avatar. I went shooting today with my friend and his GF. It was hilarious. She weighs like 88 lbs, so to see her shoot the Mosin Nagantw as pretty funny. It was almost as tall as her.

Oh hey guess what. I FINALLY finished downloading Early Edition. Like yesterday. Whoa can't believe I actually finished it in 2008 it was soooo slow :? :faint: so now I'm watching the adorable cat

Still downloading: X-Men TAS (gah it's even slower... well at least it's also smaller :? )

Next on the list: B5, Farscape, and all the Star Treks (except for ENT because I already got all the episodes) :? :faint: :banghead:

Edit: bwahahahaha Sulu's on Early Edition

You check out that show Journeyman yet? It's a similar concept to Early Edition.
