Yeah, you grew up in the 90's too, didn't you? I used to love that show. I think my favorite episode was when one of them wished he'd never joined the group and he sees the consequences.
my sister and I used to write Captain Planet fanfic (well more like crackfic 
) together and then turn it into like "audio drama" it was just the two of us playing all the different characters, well but we never actually finished recording anything because we would always burst out laughing every like 2 sentences it all started with us playing Captain Planet together, my sister played Ma-ti and I played everyone else LOL, and basically the game went like Ma-ti (my sis) was playing with Suchi (me) then Wheeler (me again) came to interrupt him and Ma-ti wanted to get Wheeler off his back so he told him Suchi has a very rare disease called "monkeyosis" which isn't dangerous for monkeys but it's very dangerous for people. And also very contagious. And then he says he has to give Wheeler a shot of medicine. Well long story short eventually all the characters (but Ma-ti and Suchi) end up hiding under the desk being scared of monkeyosis and needles after randomly coming to interrupt Ma-ti. 
So like after that we decided to write that game as fanfic and other fanfics followed and then we tried to record them but always failed.
