About Archer yeah. I try to write him sympathetically but I find it difficult. I saw his feelings for Trip in Sim and in Observer Effect and he says he has regard for Vulcans and especially T'Pol but his actions always seem to say otherwise. I'm more of a believer in what people do than what they say.

T'Pol was also inconsistently written and they did a poor job of keeping story boards or notes so they could remember what they had done or said in the past. That a character grows and changes is fine but give us a reasonable explanation for how and why and don't strip away what makes them an appealing character in the first place.

If they thought they were going to have a seven year run it's unfortunate they didn't do what the writer of Babylon 5 did and have the beginning, middle, and end written or at least sketched out at the beginning. If they had had a clear picture of the characters and the direction they were headed they might have been more successful at attracting viewers even though they were on a network that was less than behind their success. The stories would have been more consistent and focused instead of a hodge podge of what got pitched from week to week.

Amen! I am going to try and write Archer sympathetically, but I have a feeling I'll fail with most people. Oh well, can't please everyone. I adore the concept of T'Pol strong emotions and all, but I think her execution was lacking. I find it ironic that the one character they did do a good job with (Trip) was the one they killed off. Pretty stupid if you ask me. T'Pol in seasons 1, 2, & 4 didn't strike me as UnVulcan, but season 3 really irritates me to no end.

I have no sympathy for Archer. He was supposed to be the commanding Officer and in the series somewhat of a Superman. Yet his failings were monumental at times.

Poor t-Pol she was written so badly. the character was treated with so little respect. Bounty was an embassement for the character and the Actress. She was made a Drug addict for no good reason. I don't buy the stuff that she did it so she could romance Trip.

The romance was utter junk and for me, at least, very hard to watch because it was not allowed to mature into a real romance between two people of diferent species.

Bakkula prbably did the best with what he was given as did the others actors on the series but he , like the others, was handed trash and expected to turn it into Award winnning episodes.

Back to Topic fusion along with a couple other Episodes should not have been made or broadcast.

IMHO

Well that's the way to put it simple and direct .

I used to think, if only they'd written Trip and T'Pol's romance more realistically, more adult, more mature... then I saw Farscape and realized that John and Aeryn were what Trip and T'Pol could have and should have been. Even the characters are similar.

Somehow I missed Farscape but Ben Bowder and Claudia Black just have electric chemistry to power Las Vegas. Which is why Vala/Daniel annoyed me. I was like OK I know they're not the Farscape characters but really they look like they want to jump each other anyway, GO WITH THAT!

It really annoys me how TnT acted like teens sometimes. Hello! he's a 33-34 year old COMMANDER not some punky kid. She's young but she isn't stupid or weak, but that's what they made her into.

That is the problem, TnT were not written as two mature people. Not even sure if they were written as teens. Often more like children who should not have been allowed out by themselves.

I really don't believe that anyone had enough clout to give the characters absolute direction: Start and grow a relationship or don't start a relationshp at all. so we got what we saw and hated.

I guess that is why there is so much Fanfic and why I love so much of the Fanfic. the chsaracters are treated in a adult and respectful manner.

True there are a few examples of utter junk that should not have been put up but those things do slip through. also have some A/TP to put up with not to mention Slash which I hate with a passion.

But you don't leave reviews so how are we poor writers to know what you think? OK Here's my big thing about T'Pol's messed season 3, incorperate the pa'nar syndrome with her Trellium abuse. This would make the whole thing make sense. pa'nar wouldn't cause her feelings for Trip but it would damage her brain screwing it up so she would become addicted and then the whole mess in Harbinger wouldn't make me nuts. Brain injury = brain damage. I should know CP is a brain injury.

Me? write a review? I am not KTR or anywhere in his eague.

His reviews are great, well thought out and beautifully written. Who can equal that? Certainly not me.

CP? My ignorance is showing again. What is CP. sludge for brains these days.

Not episode reviews. Just type in the comment box. It doesn't have to be witty, just say what you think. CP = Cerebral Palsy

Warpgirl, writers should have hides like Elephants. I once did put in a comment and offended Hell of out the writer although the comment wasn't bad but not good either.

So, I am gun shy.
