Damn!

I actually would've preferred TSCC over Dollhouse.

Besides, it makes little sense to cancel a show of a franchise that has a big summer blockbuster movie coming out. :?

Bummer

Better start finishing my TSCC fic before the ff.net groups diminish.

My sister's like that and she had no formal dance training. God I am jealous. But I think it's a little creepy that she looks 16, she is older than me but still...

She's looking older now, kinda bony, but she definitely still looks what we docs call "younger than stated age". It's those huge eyes that make her look so young. We're genetically programmed to take care of and protect things with big eyes, you know that? All mammals are. Scientists think it's an evolved protective characteristic that ensures the survival of the species, since infant mammals all have bigger eyes than adults in proportion to the rest of their bodies. Keeps us from throwing the little boogers out the window at 3 am when they won't shut up. 8)

Makes sense, and probably why people think I'm the youngest. I'm sick of people asking are you 17. I'm like nope and I'm old enough to drink, get married, and have a couple of kids as an adult. Now leave me alone.

People tell me I look younger than I am as well, or at least they used to before I got grey hair. Maybe it's the acne.

It was a pain in residency. I had one guy in an ER where I was working tell me that I looked 14 and to "go get the real doctor". It gets better as you get older, though. I was at a carnival with my daughter last year and we walked by a "guess your age booth". You'd pay your money and win a prize if the woman could guess within 5 years of your age without going over. The woman guessed 35 and we walked away with a prize. Ha.

In Miss Glau's case I would guess looking younger is a good thing, since an actress's ability to play leading female roles pretty much ends once she looks old enough to be someone's mother. That's generally not the case for men. Life's not fair sometimes.

I like it when people ask if my mom and I are sisters. But I think that's because we're goofballs.

Well, lovely Ms. Glau turned 28 on Wednesday.

As far as looking "younger than stated age", that would be my petite sister who's 39. A couple of years ago, when she was something like 36, she was so happy that they asked for her ID when she went to buy alcohol (you have to be 20 to do that here).

It's fine unless people are questioning your maturity and competence. Then it's just irritating.

Same thing's happened to me for awhile. The only advantage is there is a certain species of office women that have a thing for younger men  (like to the point that you can't help but wonder if they have pedophilic fantasies considering that they tell me I look 14 or 15 or 16 and want to go out )

Btw, KTR... you manage to dig up absolutely anything on the net......

Are you SkyNet? :poke:

OMG I can totally see Mr. KTR being SkyNet! And Dude, really don't trust cougars, or wannabe cougars. I've never seen a healthy male/female realtionship where the female was more than five years older than the male.

That's a fascinating observation.... I'll have to start looking at couples I know now
