But Trip isn't in that nightmare at all. And frankly T'Pol isn't doing that either. Listen to Escriba, Kotik she's smart. She's going to be a Judge. She knows what she's saying.

Those of us women that have to be tough, for what life throws at us always sound commanding. You'll be a wonderful judge. Still the fact remains that T'Pol doesn't use Trip as her crying shoulder, if anything she actively avoids using him for that. And I mean crying shoulder metaphorically, because a Vulcan only cries if they're sick or dying of a disease.

True, it's Trip the one who needs T'Pol as a shoulder to cry on, because his human nature, more than anything else. For T'Pol the relationship with Trip is enlightening, I think. When she is with him she sees and understands things that she wouldn't without his support.
I think the bond could really help in that, Trip could release his emotions to her more easily and she could be more intuitive and expressive. Like an actual marriage, but a little bit more extreme

Well if the killer B's had actually intended on keeping TnT together, and I'm not sure they were (shudders) they should have looked in their archives and researched Vulcan mating bonds. But of course they didn't do that, why would they?

Ah, WarpGirl, a little negative capability never hurt anybody. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Negative_capability
Though I'm not at all sure that's what Asso was reaching for...
You are right, Alelou, in two respects.
What Keats believed...
Keats believed that great people (especially poets) have the ability to accept that not everything can be resolved.
... is absolutely true (and even the scientists now recognize this as true).
But... there was something else in my words: there is a enormous mess of problems in the world; it is illogical to search uselessly for further problems, if this isn't useful and if this doesn't be able to add anything useful.
And furthermore... You have to look at the problems as they are not problems, you have to ease them, to face them but to not make them overwhelm you, and - not infrequently you will be able to notice that the problems no longer exist. They became "busillis".

Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four
And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

As a side note, a proverb from Gabon says "A problem without a solution isn't a problem." And there is the proverb (I don't know from where) that says: "If you have a problem and you can fix it, don't worry, fix it. And if you can't fix it, don't worry either, forget it."

Re: TnT's Bond - How does it work?
Asso for many reading about others having difficulty gives them strength and hope to face their own angst ridden lives. It's cathartic to read it and let yourself experience someone else's pain even if it's only fictional. It's the same for writers. They may not experience the same pain as their characters but it serves to alleviate their own struggles. It's works the same way I suppose it does for people who enjoy watching horror flicks and being scared to death. No one is looking for more angst in their life but reading a fictional account that you know isn't real can act as a release valve for whatever stress there might be in your own life. To me I'd rather it were fictional than real.

That's true, but - what do you want... - I'm among those who found "Roman Holiday" terrifying, and, to tell the true, when my wife saw this movie and, above all, its end, she told me she would want to see it nevermore.

Audrey Hepburn, Gregory Peck Roman Holiday"? What could you possibly find terrifying about that? Boy meets princess, boy lies to princess to get a story, boy falls for princess and ....

Asso hates that Audry didn't ditch being a princess. (educated guess) And when I was a child I did too. But now as an adult I find it a true example of unselfish love, which was the point. Of course telling that to me at age ten was a waste of time. But that's exactly my point about Home (even though I haven't seen it YET) the principle is the same and is the real picture of how T'Pol are not only bound by physiology but by real love. In a way I don't think Harbinger expressed at all.
This was from Escriba and believe it or not I agree with it, although actually doing it is another thing entirely. But to me the first thing is to find absolute proof that the problem you face cannot be solved. If there is no proof, than I believe you should keep on looking for a solution. And even where there is proof circumstances change, and a solution may come up so you have to keep on the watch, because I believe you have to fightto overcome problems in life.
As a side note, a proverb from Gabon says "A problem without a solution isn't a problem." And there is the proverb (I don't know from where) that says: "If you have a problem and you can fix it, don't worry, fix it. And if you can't fix it, don't worry either, forget it."

It's just this "and"... which irks me.
But, frankly my taste is a little unusual. For example (and I hope I don't sound blasphemous) I find any Marilyn Monroe movie annoying and I don't like her.

Please, WarpGirl, try to not too much simplistic. "Unselfish love"? Do you see how things can be perceived differrently? It's the exact contrary, for me.
And then, maybe I'm still a child... Oh well! They say world belongs to the youth.

Okay,I get that. Not so sure I liked the end either but I could accept it. If you're raised a princess it brings with it certain expectations and learned responsibilities. But I don't understand it be terrifying it's just the way life works out sometimes.
