It's amazing sometimes the surprises that life has to offer. I had a pretty traumatizing experience happen several years ago which led to me going to therapy...which I probably had needed to do for years anyhow... But now I feel like a different person in so many ways. I'm much more confident and positive and feel useful and content with myself. Sometimes difficult experiences can lead to enlightenment. It's kind of cool really. Just my happy thought for the day. I guess since I haven't written any sappy stories recently.

My son and I went to Comicon Chicago today and had a GREAT time! My son really, really wanted to meet Daniel Logan, the young man who played Boba Fett as a child in Sar Wars. He was the nicest guy! We (actually, I) spent about 20 minutes just chatting with him about a bunch of stuff. We got two autographed pics that he comped for us, too. Other than that the con was pretty good. It was my son's first and he was a bit overwhelmed by the crowd. He was very happy to get some new Star Wars toys, though.

Now it's on to the Stargate con in two weeks to go see Mr. Trinneer!

What, no happy news in over a month?!?!

I got the work-study job I wanted! It's at the Folklife Center, working mainly with 20th century oral history. This isn't my especial field of interest or training, but it's working with history so it should be fun. At least to me. Lots of interesting local stuff about everyday life, and it's going to look good on my resume too.

To tell the true, she and her "mate" are together since such a long time that probably they won't have any ceremony, but...when two hearts want to be joined, what else counts?

I'm really glad for you JadziaKathryn. Hmm happy news... My best friend had her little boy on September 2nd. I'm so excited about that, he looks exactly like his uncle who is my Ex, so that was a shock. But a good one. Other baby news my pregnant sister has felt her baby move. Very good because we lost two other babies before. Other than that my place is being renovated but I'm not sure that's happy news.
