Nope. In America we call it the bathroom even if it doesn't have a bathtub. In Canada they call it the washroom. Definitely not universal. It was confusing my first trip to Canada. Now I interchange both words.

This reminds me of a silly thing that happened to me and my (female) friend, while we were on holiday in China. We were in this shopping mall and we needed the bathroom/toilet/wc/washroom. Our little book "What and how in Chinese" was no were to be found, so we went to two shops employees, tried to ask in English for the toilet - they stared at us with blank faces - so we started to act like we really had to go. Still blank faces. Until my friend made the gesture males uses when they are using the toilet, making the noice of water falling - they bursted into laughter and pointed us to the nearest toilet. Problem solved.

Ever since early summer my computer has been acting slow (and it's not the Internet connection). It doesn't need defragging so I finally went and got CC Cleander and it deleted a ton of useless stuff. I hope the performance will now improve.

Choosing paint colors for my house! Fun. I am sick of all of the WHITE!

So what colors did you pick???

A green for the living room with copper accents, deep orange for the kitchen, with black, blood red for the guest bathroom, bright yellow and purple for the study/guest room, turquoise white and silver for my bedroom, (want it too look like a tiffany's box) and navy white and black for my bathroom.

But right now I'm still under construction doing a bit of a renovation making the kitchen more accessible for me on bad days when I can barely move. So the place is a little bit of a mess. Good thing I'm used to it, before we moved down south mama and daddy loved to renovate.

Boy not really used to talking about my girly side. Thanks for asking though.

I've got a vibrant blue green living room, well the trim is pretty vibrant. I'd always loved our "green room," but when we repainted my husband asked me to go get something different, to tone it down. I went to the store, fell in love with one particular color, brought it home (one of those strips of paper) to see if it matched the furniture. It was EXACTLY the same color I already had. So we repainted in the same color! It still makes me happy.

We have a really strange color in our bedroom: bright pink with purple trim. That makes me happy too, but I have to admit I overdid it there. I remember I picked out the paint, left it with my husband. He painted while I was out. I got home at night and looked up at my room. there were no curtains on the bedroom window because of the painting and from the street you could see it was GLOWING pink, like aliens were landing in there or something. I started laughing so hard I cried, but we never changed it. Just put up some purple curtains! LOL . . .
