Actually it's my fault. I put the littler box up on a stool easier to reach when I'm in the chair. Kitty jumped down and the new litter box tipped off the stool. I need a bigger stool. It actually isn't horrible, my vaccume decided to lose suction though.

Being the veteran of more studying than any human being should have to tolerate in one lifetime, my advice to you is to take notes on note cards as you read. Then re-read the note cards every day until the test. They're more portable than a textbook and the information's in smaller bites so it's easier to absorb. The technique even kept me awake through the sleep deprived days of my sophomore year of med school when I had a newborn keeping me up half the night. 8)

Your question should probably be more like, "What's the matter with HER?"
Answer: She's a masochist.

I doubt that! :guffaw: But if you are, I think it's better than being terrified like I am.

For some people just getting out of bed in the morning is an act of courage, but you could also recite 2 Timothy 1:7 over and over and over again. That's what I do when I'm scared shitless. 8)

Oh yes, and Thessalonians, and Psalms 100-105, and about 1,000,000 more. The problem is usually I can get through a half semester of college, then something happens and I'm in the hospital off and on for 4 years. So I have no particular ambition in life, but to stay out of the hospital for more than two years. It hasn't worked yet.

Sounds like a good reason to just go with the flow to me. Somebody's got a plan, and that somebody isn't you. Seems liberating to me, actually. I don't know what it's like to be young and not working my ass off to reach a goal. I think that's why I got into fanfic writing this late in life. I wouldn't have had the time to do this when I was younger. Every minute... every SECOND of every day was planned to get me to a specified goal. Five years ago when I was 40 I finally decided that I didn't want to live that way anymore and I left private practice. Now I actually have a life.

Don't let the world deprive you of the privilege of enjoying being alive, okay? Just take things one day at a time and don't stress. If it takes you a decade to get your degree, then at least you have it. And if you decide you'd rather do something else, then do something else. Be happy.

;-) I promise I'm trying, unfortunately I was born a type A and my body won't match my personality. The really hysterical part of this all I've ever really wanted to do is write. In college I wanted to write about art, still do. But my body even screws that up, I get to page 100 and something happens. Oh well, one day I swear it will all work out, because I'm stubborn and well, God will not send us anything beyond what we can bear.

That's a good idea. Unfortunately, we have to read the book, too, for material that isn't covered in the lecture. The only book I actually bring to class is my computer book, because sometimes we use it, but for my other two classes we don't need them, we just have to listen and take notes for stuff that isn't in the book. That's how they get you on the attendance thing. ;-)

It's a good stratagy. But to tell you the truth note taking was the hardest part for me. No lap top allowed and writing long hand is not easy for me. So the professors had to give me an extra 10 minutes after class. That's one thing I do not miss.

I think they have to allow you an alternative, like the option to tape record lectures, if you can't take notes because of a documented medical condition.

Yeah well tape recorder didn't work because of the jokers I was always put with, talked all class. It worked out well enough, I always had good grades. I'm thinking of going back to school, I just want to wait a little longer get a few things fixed first.

Dear fellow motorists of SE Michigan,

The long skinny pedal on the right-hand side of your floor is the accelerator. If you are not just getting on the expressway or getting off within the next mile, please get the hell out of the right-hand lane and USE IT. It's an expressway, not a parking lot.

Thank you.

Your friend,
Aquarius
