Ah, it's like "skit" (shit) in Swedish. When we say that something is "skitgott" we mean that something tastes good, not that it tastes like shit.

BTW, a "skit" in English is a short play, usually done by amateurs.

^ Yeah, but we don't pronounce it like that. Sometimes our "sk" sound is like a "sch" or "sh". But we don't pronounce "skit" as "shit" either. Our "i" in this case is a long "iiii".

No, not like shite either. It's hard to explain. It's not "shajt". I think phonetically it would be [ɧiːʈ] if that makes any sense.

The man is played by Eric Idle, the wife is played by Graham Chapman (in drag), and the waitress is played by Terry Jones, also in drag.

Man: You sit here, dear.
Wife: All right.
Man: Morning!
Waitress: Morning!
Man: Well, what've you got?

I like Spam. Also potted meat, chopped liver, head cheese, and pate, which are basically all made of various pureed nasty meat bits that when properly seasoned taste surprisingly good. I hope I don't die young from cholesterol poisoning just from reading this thread, though. And yes. I read it. It was amusing.

Still have one to take tomorrow. Got an A on my computer test yesterday (results were immediate), and I THINK I got at least a B on my history exam. Maybe better, if I got some of the ones I wasn't sure about right.
