Great, great, great images, Linda! I enjoyed them a lot! :)
Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four

And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

Those are incredible Linda, where I grew up there were several tribes, but nothing that big ever happened much. I won't be insulting trying to spell out the proper names. That would just be so terribly wrong my face is flaming red at the thought of attempting it. If you don't mind, telling me what tribe is your family from. And your grandchildren are georgous, and I think I want the littlest one. ;-)

Here's aureilia on moving day in the dress I was married to Priso in at the age of 19. He was 18. We were not pregnant or religious. Crazy times hey? And not only were his parents all for it, they BOUGHT me this dress!!!!!!! To me, now, this story sounds made up. If you wanna know what I looked like on my wedding day, this 4 year old in a wedding dress pretty much sums it up. :guffaw:

What a beautiful little girl. Wow that is a love story that is rare, cool. It's nice to see people get married and stay married for any reason these days. It's a dying thing. Your dress is lovely.

I'm so impressed with your house flipping abilities. And all your houses have been pretty great. I would have a hard time moving out of those fixed up houses.

enterprikayak, LOVED the picture. So adorable.

I think it is so cool that you are now a farmer and have all those animals. I told my husband that when we retire I want to own a small petting zoo so I have an excuse to have goats, sheep, piggies, a llama, etc. My friends think I'm crazy, but I'm in good company.

Oh gosh, Enterprikayak, that photo is just adorable! I love the lace pattern along the edge. Little girls just love to dress up, don't they? This is one photo to treasure.

Do chinchilla's bite? Are they hard to take care of? Where do you keep all your animals in the winter? Even a small farm must be a full time job. Send us more photos!

WarpGirl, there are some days when my daughter would GIVE Shayla away! But she always smiles when Grandma comes to visit. It is a lot more fun being a grandma than a mom...a lot less work, LOL. If I can't find a job by Jan 31, and after my banked vacation runs out, I might just babysit for Shayla if my daughter can find a job. Not sure how that would work out at this point but it is one of the options we are considering.

WarpGirl, our family background is Ojibwe (Chippewa) from Northern Wisconsin but the tribe is spread out through Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Canada. There are thirty to sixty thousand speakers of the language and it is one of the few Native American languages that are likely to survive. None of us are native speakers but we use some phrases at home and it is taught in Indian Community School where my grandkids go. We love to dress up and go to local powwows and manage to get to three or four of them a year.

The boat is now out of the water until next May. We hauled out 47 boats which took all day and started early in the morning Saturday when there was some ice, yes ICE on the canvas slings under the crane. The first boat slipped out of the slings because of the ice and fell back in the water. Fortunately, very little damage...but there was some damage. My boat was 37th out so it was warmer and we had the procedure down better. Some photos of my boat coming out of the water:

The skid where my boat would be put. Boat's name is Charles B. Wason after a great-grandfather who was lost at sea. Most of the other boats are put on two wooden blocks under the keel with four to six jack stands bracing the boat.

Boat turning in the slings, so it will be aligned with the skid.

Boat being set on the skid. I can breath now, they didn't drop it.

Nice boat, I grew up around them, fisherman grandfather. Do you all fish a lot?

Yes, we all fish. But we want to get better equipment. Next summer we want to get downriggers. And the boat is used for search and rescue work with the Coast Guard Auxiliary. It is great for just swimming off of, or even staying overnight on at the dock. The five-year-old and the two-year-old already want to drive it.
