We didn't really celebrate it this year either, but in our case that was due to sheer laziness and my husband's unwillingness to deal with his ex-wife and my stepdaughter's wacko half sister during dinner. Fortunately his daughter says she doesn't blame him because she's had it up to here with them herself. Unfortunately this means I lost out on grandchildren time.

I must read two last page (though I now skypped them for typing this post while you are on-line). I think that you masterfully fulfilled your goal. The story feels good even in that place where I am now (

). You was able to evoke the great variety of emotions in me (even those which I do not like to feel). I believe that I received my happy end (and I know that the real end will much happy) and you attained it, IMHO, via a good imitation of RL senses in human. I am glad that you show them exactly in that succession.
P.s. my real review will be composed by me much later. I am a slow reviewer.
