I've got quite a few some of them are almost grown though. Let's see last count 5 boys (one on the way) 3 girls (including Emily who passed away). Lots of joy and of course my biological clock is screaming even though I can't have any.

Well, today it's the International Day of the Basque Language.

Which I think it's lame and bad news, because if there is a "international day," that means Basque it's not precisely in its best times. Things that go well don't need "international days." Do you know any "International Day of the White, Occidental and Rich Man"?

Anyway, since our language is an endangered language, let's make something to remember it existed.

Here is William Petersen (Grissom in CSI) singing in Basque

By the way, I've just remembered I have to review JadziaKathryn's story.

"Yes, miss. Lawyers, miss."

I finally started reading Alelou's latest story. I'm enjoying it so far. :)

Anyone here ever take any on-line courses? I'm considering it, but the school I was looking at cost about $1000 for one 4 credit course. Wow. I'd have to do it real slowly at that rate. Still might be fun.

Hey, check out Hudson Valley for a much cheaper online option.

I have a friend who got laid off from her publishing job, then got her teaching bachelor's online via U of Iowa (I think) and she's now teaching in Philadelphia. It was a great career change for her, and because she could work at her own speed she finished her degree really fast.

I like online courses but the downside is nobody really controls the message board and it can get difficult to find the topic you're looking for. That and I can't afford it.

I didn't know HVCC had any online courses. Even if I could just do a little at a time, it would be wonderful. I'm being "called" so to speak. Not sure how else to describe it. I can't help thinking of being at the Star Trek conventions with some of you and sitting off in the corner listening in total amazement at all of the intelligence surrounding me. And thinking...I have no idea what they're talking about.... :o I don't know black holes. This psychology stuff I know. I see it. Feel it. Sense it.

I found my brains!!! :happyjump: :happyjump:

Apparently it's never too late to find your brains. :D

Never! Good for you! There's no reason adults shouldn't get schooling here and there all through the years of their lives. It's ensmartening. :D

Speaking as a returning adult learner (I think that's become the PC term for "dropout over 30), I don't think it's so much about finding your brains (after all, Star Trek is a thinking person's show...and you're here, aren't you? ;-) 8) ), as it is about living up to your potential. If you were already doing that, you wouldn't have the desire to do more, I think.

I don't know a lot of the technical stuff they talk about at cons, either, but I don't think that makes us not smart. ;-)

Saw the movie "The Blind Side" tonight it was wonderful and I didn't expect it to be. But it was so funny and charming, I really had fun. This movie made me like Sandra Bullok (whom I LOATH) and be interested in football (which I'm not) for 2 hours. And I laughed HARD and fell in love with Tim McGraw again (YES HE ACTS)

You loathe Sandra Bullock? Why?

I saw Definitely, Maybe last night. Everyone once in awhile Jaime goes to bed early and I get to spin up a chick flick on HBO. I liked it, actually, much better than the average chick flick, though I imagine it really is a chick flick (in that manly men would find it irritating and unbelievable and think the hero is a dweeb).

Just one of those people that seem to irritate me no matter what character they play. BUT she was really enjoyable here.

Yeah Bether! Back to school! Yes!!!Yes!!! Online classes are a great way to go. Do it! Do it!

I have always loved Sandra Bullock, or at least the characters she plays. Once someone asked who I would want to play me in a movie, and I said, this is odd, because she looks nothing like me, but Sandra Bullock.

OK, for the rest of you. Who would you want to play YOU in a movie. Go ahead, not who SHOULD play you in a movie, but who would you most want to play that part?
