Here's a few links on the actual craft of writing that I've found helpful.

http://www.englishchick.com/badfic/ - Badfic! No Biscuit! An old site (in frames), but just as useful. It looks at intentionally badly written fan fiction to show how to write good fan fiction and also gives a few writing lessons like how to write a good sex scene or how to beat your Mary Sue into submission.

http://www.advancedfictionwriting.com/art/scene.php - How to write the perfect scene. This is why I feel I don't ever have to write an in-depth outline. All I need to do is look at the last scene I wrote to determine what needs to happen next.

http://www.advancedfictionwriting.com/art/snowflake.php - This teaches the "Snowflake" method of outlining.

http://www.subreality.com/marysue.htm - The Mary Sue Avator Society - Another old, but useful webpage. This is the most informative Mary Sue site I've found on the net.

My favorite one (and the one I'm using for my fics) is This one

Not redundant, I hope. Smile

It's flavored with passionfruit
an appropriate ingredient, don't you think?

and for the hell of it:

Here's a good one for N00-B's who begin writing in the passive voice:

Okey dokey pokies,

I have added all this goodness to

http://www.trekref.info/

and more!

Never really checked out that animated series before (since I was -6 when it aired and it never really did huge in the syndication market). Laughing But check out these bitchin' graphics:

Strangely, the screen doesn't look much different from the real one:

And I bet this graphic will piss Rigil off:
(since he has been subjected so recently and repeatedly to frighteningly similar painted screenshots of alien worlds.)
