Here is my youngest granddaughter again. Bird's 2010 school photo for Play Group - a preschool class at Indian Community school. Bird (Shayla) is now three and a half years old. I thought her photo turned out nice but her older sister's first grade photo was not very good and has to be retaken. LOL, I think if I fix Bird's eyebrows she could pass for a Vulcan. She would have to repress that smile though.

Thanks, WarpGirl! She can be really sweet and adorable at times but also can be a little terrorist. She is full of energy and often has to be told to use her "inside voice". Her hair is still baby fine and not long enough for real pony tails. I think the photos we are now taking of her are precious because she is changing so fast. She must have grown inches since last spring. We haven't been measuring her growth with a wall chart but we should get one.

So in other words she's a perfectly normal and happy 3 1/2 year old! My niece is 4 I love this age.

Anyone else got Trick or Treat pics? We handed out enough candy to put South Milwaukee in a diabetic coma. My daughter and two granddaughters sat on the steps in front of the house and helped. Grandson went off to take a nap or go on the internet or something.

We had miserable freezing rain showers for Halloween, not that we ever get anyone trudging down our long dark driveway anyway. My son did well at his friend's much more densely settled neighborhood, but they were all very cold and happy to end the night early.

We did get to meet and chat a bit with Vaughan Armstrong (Admiral Forrest) and Jeffrey Combs (Shran).

The convention was Oct. 22 -24 in Chicago. Leonard Nimoy was scheduled for Friday but he had surgery and couldn't come. The cast members who were supposed to be on stage most of Saturday had to fill the time on Friday, so by the time they were up on Saturday there was little for them to do that they hadn't already done. Besides that, almost all of the guests Friday/Saturday were Deep Space 9 cast members and that was the only series my husband and I I never watched.
