You're right about your youngest. Do you or hubby have any Asian roots?

It's funny sometimes how recessive genes manifest themselves. My first and third kids both tan brown as beans in the summer like their father. My poor middle child got my "fry like a lobster and then fade to white" complexion. My husband and I both have native American ancestry mixed in with all the Scottish, English, and French. Makes no sense to me that he and two of my kids got the tan gene while I'm stuck in the skin cancer club with my middle kid, permanently pale. If anything, I should be the tan one since my native American ancestry is more recent than his, but the only kind of tan I'm capable of getting is the spray-on kind.

Great christmas pics JT! El and I just got back from picking her up in STL - we went to the mall, to Cabelas (she LOVED it and I have NEVER SEEN SO MUCH AMMUNITION IN MY LIFE!!!) and THE ZOO! The STL Zoo had this special Wild Lights winter festival, this was the last night, and they had penguins. PENGUINS! El loves penguins, btw. Then we came home and had a 2nd Christmas with me, my sister, my mom and her. Then tomorrow night we have a 2nd Christmas dinner
