Yes, this is true. Laughing I actually do use a knife and fork when I eat my homemade pizza. But's that's just because it's all runny and a mess because I suck at cooking. Rolling Eyes One learns many things from this board. Interesting. I wonder if Americans are more messy in other ways? Chicken wings with utensils? Shock How do you ever manage that?

Eating pizza, etc with a knife and fork have become second nature to me (when we spent our summers in europe and went to the pizza parlor, my sisters and I learned to conform and eat with utensils because we were tired of everyone staring at us "slobs" eating with our hands.)

My favorite was wierding out my coworkers at a conference once where they served us barbecue-- spare ribs, corn on the cob, the works-- and I ate everything with a knife and fork, in an all-white outfit. I cleaned my plate without getting a drop of barbecue sauce on myself. It just takes a LOT of practice.

Oh dude I remember when I went with a friend to visit her relatives in Maryland they took us to that chicken place, and well I'm just used to eat my chicken and everything with utensils. I mean like even my family they eat the chicken with their hands, and pizza etc and I'm the only one eating it with utensils Confused Confused so like they serve us the chicken and I'm starting to eat with the utensils and everyone looks at me like I'm from another planet or something Laughing

What is that phenomena about anyway? The youth practice of calling both sexes "dude"? My son does it to me too and I keep telling him that I am NOT a dude. Laughing To which he then proceeds to call me "dudette". Rolling Eyes

I guess I'm just not all that adept at cutting pizza slices with a knife...

Considering I'm a veggie now I use a mix of hands/ fork, knife depending on what it is I am eating.

But when I did eat meat...chicken on the bone was eaten with my hands as was ribs.

Steak was eaten with my knife and fork.

Pizza....that depends.....sometimes I'll use a knife and fork....other times I eat it new york style....folded.

Face first. Once it's dead, why do you need a knife? That's what teeth are for.
