Yeah, I don't think everyone feels it the same either. I was always prone to really bad menstrual cramps too, so maybe I just feel things more. Dunno. I knew a few women who didn't even feel their labor pains and barely even made it to the hospital in time. I can only imagine. I guess as long as the bundle ends up in your arms and is a healthy bean, doesn't much matter anyway. It's a happy time and no matter how difficult or easy the birth ends up being, it's a day you'll always cherish.

Just got back from the ultrasound!



This one's a bit easier to see than the one from only a few weeks ago.

All seems great.

I knew a few women who didn't even feel their labor pains and barely even made it to the hospital in time. I can only imagine.

My grandma and my mom are those kind of people. Fortunately my grandma still had babies at home, but it was really close that she would have had her first baby alone, because the midwife thought there wasn't any hurry since it was the first baby and almost missed the birth.

When I was born my mom missed the bus to go to the last prenatal class. If she hadn't I would have born there
Then she didn't notice anything when she worked cooking, cleaning and doing other home chores. It wasn't until she sat down in the evenign that she realized that something might be wrong and it seemed like she might be having some contractions with short time interval between. They called a taxi and left immediately and the taxi driver was really in panic because then the contractions were almost constant and I was really wanting to come out already. Afterwards she thought she should have called an ambulance and not a taxi.
They barely made it to the hospital and there the midwife didn't have time to do anything else than to rush my mom into a room yelling don't push, don't push. My mom had been in the hospital less than half hour when I was out in her arms and everyhting was over.

Dang, Bookworm. Good genes for birthing babies, though I imagine it can get a little inconvenient.

Enterprikayak, if you get to the point where NOTHING is staying down anymore, you better go get checked out. Nausea can become self-perpetuating and then you can get dehydrated, which is not good.

Yeah, my doc has been reccomending diclectin, but the last time I saw her I was all "Oh I'm sure it'll be gone soon, I'll be fine."

Now I'm thinking I'd like some o' that shit.

I got up 40 minutes ago, and Aureilia said, "Mommy? You eat breakfast?"

And at the simple word 'breakfast' I ran into the kitchen and spent a couple of minutes heaving up nothing until my eyeballs felt like they were going to come out.

Oh Lordie, if your doctor is recommending it, go get it. Give yourself a break. Maybe just a day or two of not throwing up will be enough to stop it in its tracks.

This must be every taxi driver's biggest fear... I wonder how many goes through this experience in their entire careers?

Yeah, I'd want that ambulance personally. I used to work in a drivethru and there are a lot of scaryass taxidrivers out there.
