I've alerted jT, who knows more about how to fix the coding than I do, so we'll get this taken care of as soon as she can get to it. For now, all I can do is thank you all for your continued patience on this one.

Thanks Aquarius. And fair warning, as anyone who is reading Dusk knows, it brings the angst. Hang tough people. You've got to trust me that I wouldn't leave TnT in this much pain without some kind of resolution. Unlike the writers of the show, I'm not a sadist toward these characters. One more chapter to go and an epilogue.

I'm not really sure at this point. I think it's something that happens because of how your documents are formatted, because when I open them on my end, they look fine, but when I paste them into our uploader, strange things happen to the font. Last time I tried this with one of your documents, only the last 1/4 or so (from what I can remember) was affected, and the font got all big and bold, out of proportion with the rest of the document. This time, it was the whole document doing the same thing.

Since I don't have this specific problem with anyone else's documents, I suspect that it's in your formatting, as I've said. Unfortunately, I just don't know enough about it in order to be able to make any suggestions as to settings, etc. in order to make that stop. Maybe jT will have an idea of what to do after she takes a look at this one.

I would be very glad if someone may be so gentle to suggest to me a way of escape.

Nobody's mad, Asso. These things just kind of happen. We just want to understand the problem so we can find a solution, and I believe we will eventually.

As for the "secret" to posting this file, there were three lines that didn't translate: a row of diamonds. I changes them to regular lines. And I changes all the text to New Times roman before trying to post it. And it went right up. I think it's all there! Anyone see a problem?

Asso--I think it might be a good idea to simplify your presentation on your documents. Don't worry about changing things like font size or style for titles, author notes, etc. I'd say pick a standard font like Times New Roman or Arial and stick with it throughout the whole document, and just use the standard bold, italics, and underline whenever you want to emphasize something or alter how it appears. If you want to show a break within the chapter (ie, the scene changes or you're showing a different character's POV), then just use three asterisks with a space between each one (* * *) to show that. No fancy symbols or anything. Any fancy formatting beyond that is unnecessary, as a lot of it will get changed to the standard any way once we upload, for the sake of keeping the site's appearance consistent within the archive, so it'll actually save both you and the admins time if you avoid it.

Any way, let's try it that way, the next time you send us a document, and we'll see if keeping things simple will make the process go smoother. It's a little thing we like to call Trial and Error.

Any way, I know this mostly just pertained to Asso's situation, but I thought posting this here in the open would be helpful, so that way everyone can kind of know what to avoid.
