Sigh. I know.

It's verra disappointing ...
Is this where you prefer that we comment?
Either or. I lost the previous Endeavour thread with all of those comments during the evil server crash, so I guess I'll just have to be prepared to lose 'em all.
I really like your theory about transplant from Sim affecting Trip over the long run. Makes sense. He has a part of SIM'S BRAIN in his head after all, poor used Sim. How awful!
To me, it just seemed really logical. I'm no doctor (don't even play one on tv), but it was
brain surgery! How was Trip able to get up and walk around so quickly? I mean, aside from the Trek Insta!Cure(TM), that is.
While I really did like the episode
Similitude a lot, I was
very disappointed that there wasn't even a
hint of follow up to that episode. Archer basically grew a clone to harvest its tissues, then threatened to murder that clone to save his "best friend" ... yet we never hear anything about it again. A man
died to save Trip's life ... yet we never see any hint of guilt or sadness over it. And it was an alien procedure to boot! Instead of having a potentially fascinating look at the ethics of this sort of thing and how everyone is dealing with their own guilt ('cause really,
everyone in this would be dealing with some sort of guilt over Sim's death), we got an utterly pointless time travel episode called
Carpenter Street (the return of Super!Archer and Sidekick!Polly. Huzzah.

)
So it's my intent for that to be a recurring theme my
Endeavour universe. I truly don't see how Trip could ever fully forgive Archer (or Phlox, for that matter) for Sim. He may be able to hide it a little bit, but forgiveness? I dunno...
