In Broken Bow, he scratches the paint on the brand new ship. And then when he's piloting the Suliban pod he's a mess, but I suppose that doesn't necessarily count. He just doesn't strike me as the most comfortable pilot in the world, either, even when we see him at the controls in other episodes.

And Archer refers to him as a good pilot! Yikes I shudder to contemplate Archer's skills. But nobody is as good as Tom Paris.

Eh, they always make out Archer to be God's Gift to Piloting. So actually, if he deigns to say that Trip is a good pilot, apparently Trip is a good pilot. However, I still suspect that piloting a space ship may just be more forgiving than handling a motorcycle... and you have to admit that Trip is somewhat prone to mishaps.

Actually, though, I can't remember him crashing. When was this? I'm having an Archer blackout. It happens.

Actually, Archer's favorite thing, possibly because it was Bakula's favorite thing, was being beaten the crap out of.

But Trip's the one who's always ending up unconscious. He ought to be brain dead at this point he's had so many head injuries. Someday if I'm really bored and have the proficiency, I want to make a video of all the times Trip gets knocked out (or hell, killed) to the tune of Lyle Lovett's "This Traveling Around (is going to be the death of Me)." On the other hand, Lyle Lovett does not seem to exist on youtube so maybe he's a copyright nazi. But the lyrics fit so well...

Oh man it was really late when I wrote that. Although the fact that Archer and T'Pol and up in very compromising positions maybe it isn't too far off. Hey Aquarius give Trip a nice Mustang Muscle cars rule, except for the new Skyline.

I don't know what I'm gonna give him yet, lol. In the first story in which I address personal transportation, it's more or less I need to describe what's going on in the street by where he lives. Later, though, in another story, I want to talk about that "first car" a bit.

Well Just so you know I'm a weird girl who thinks muscle cars are sexy as all heck. But a fine exotic can do as well. It isn't really the car so much as the driver you know. As Dom says in FF4 "I appreciate a fine body regardless of the make.

Hey Aquarius just got my computer back so here I am. OK so I watched ENT tonight while babysitting and lo' and behold they showed 22nd century transportation on earth! The episode is "Shockwave 1" and they look like mini shuttles. Actually they ripped off Coruscant in SW EP 2 only with less colorful surroundings and crafts. But I thought you'd want to know.

I guess the new movie answer the car question. Yes, at least some regular cars exist (we see the car and the road!) and some probably fly (if the motorcycle is any indication.)

I haven't seen the movie yet. Is there any equivalent in the 23rd century to the current aging city bus system where you get a lurching ride because replacing the old equipment is not financially feasible at the time?

I don't remember seeing any mass transit other than the shuttles we saw
