Got the marriage certificate, my dress and my bouquet on the same day. I still remember Robert putting my bouquet of roses together with DUCK TAPE in my dad's kitchen. (Southern engineering ingenuity. What can I say? LMAO!) We got married by the JP. My mom (the super ultra-Catholic) was NOT amused, but we'd been engaged for almost 18 months trying to play by HER rules and Robert got tired of it. Our wedding reception was at GOLDEN CORRAL, of all places. And once the staff realized it was a makeshift reception, they were nice enough to whip up a heart-shaped wedding cake.

And speaking of redneck, BnB, my FIL suggested having the reception in his backyard with soy burgers on the grill. He's so CHEAP his shoes squeak! LMAO! Needless to say, we ixnayed the idea.
