It's definitely possible. I've done it myself. I'm allergic to PABA containing sunblocks. They give me an itchy red rash everywhere I put them whether I get sun or not.

Nope no rash. Just got all woozie and light headed. The last thing I need is to be allergic to sunblock. My skin already reacts to almost everything else.

Okay bear with me I have no coffee in my house! That should be a whine in and of itself but it's not, here's the whine... I have a physical therapy appointment this morning at 8AM! This is cruel and unusual punishment, all because G has vacation time for two weeks and this was her only slot. Well, despite my insomnia I hit bed reasonably early for me, 12:30 am. But lo and behold my neighbor had to start shouting at 3am, waking me up and I couldn't fall back to sleep! So I got out of bed around 5 and took a shower. Now I'm cold, tired, and my hair's wet. No coffee! And I still have to go get tortured! This is gonna be one of those days! :banghead:

I thought I was in a bad way. I'm very nearly out of brown sauce for my bacon sarnie. Can you imagine, bacon sarnie with the sauce? That's just not right. But, no coffee? Nightmare!

What exactly is a sarnie?

Apparently "sarnie" is Brit for sandwich, and "brown sauce" is steak sauce. So he's basically saying he's having a bacon sandwich, regrettably without steak sauce on it, for breakfast. (I had to look it up.)

Cogito, I generally have my bacon sandwiches with mayo, lettuce and tomato and no steak sauce. You could try that. Make sure you toast the bread so the tomato doesn't sog it up. In the US this is called a BLT. But then, if you don't have any steak sauce, you probably won't have lettuce and tomato, either. ;-)

Warpgirl, what about a cup of nice English breakfast tea to wake you up before PT?

I'm personally having a handful of vitamins and a low-carb Slimfast shake for breakfast. Joy. It's ten minutes before I have to leave for work so I'll catch ya'll later. 'Bye now.

Apparently that's Brit for sandwich. (Distracted, you and I think alike)

But "brown sauce"? No, no - the proper BLT includes mustard and avocado in addition to the BLT.

Add some fresh roasted turkey and some swiss cheese on a sourdough roll. Mmmmm. Now, I'm homesick. No sourdough in Japan.

Thanks for explaining what a sarnie is, Distracted. You have got it exactly right. I'm sure these people will tell you more than you ever wanted to know about them:

Just look at the pictures from their AGM. I had no idea so many people were bothered about something so mundane. Looks like quite a posh dinner, too. What do you s'pose they had to eat?

By the way, I have encountered a 'BLT' but I've no intention of ruining a perfectly good bacon sarnie by filling it with soggy rabbit food. :-p

Well, you've got to get good tomatoes and good lettuce and then it's a plus. If you use those watery, tasteless veggies it's terrible.

Sorry Putaro, I'm still not convinced. The only way to improve a bacon sarnie that I have ever found, is melted brie. Which doesn't sound like a very promising combination, but the caterer at MIRA does this and it's absolutely superb. I've never seen anyone else do it though.
