My happy news is that my knee surgery went well. And now I'll have two weeks off work to read and play online while my family waits on me. This is great. And here I was thinking I'd have to have another baby to get some time off.

Hey, Emberchyld, less knitting, more stories! But seriously, congrats on finishing a piece of knitting cause my one and only attempt ended in a sad, sad, tangle. 
But I can crotchet okay. And staw weave.
Great news on you surgery, Distracted! Take FULL advantage of that time off cause you sure had to go through a lot to get it! Are you home yet or do they keep you at the hospital for a while?

Well, Dis, enjoy the service while it lasts. Glad the surgery went well, like everyone else.
My happy news: My Fulbright travel funds came in so I booked my flight to Australia! I leave Feb. 18th and come back Nov. 17th.
