Do you ever?
See something or listen to a song and get an idea about a fanfic? It happens to me occasionally and I wonder if others experience this?

Re: Do you ever?
Sure. Mostly I see something from my own life, more than hear a song that gives me an idea. Case in point was my story "How About a Game, Captain" where I had Lizzie (Trip and T'Pol's child) do something that one of my grandchildren did. Another example is "One Elderly Vulcan Male Plus Bar of Soap" where I used something I saw in the bathroom of houses we were looking at which reminded me of the shape of a transporter.
Working on a major fan fic project. Two-thirds done. Hope to put it up in the not TOO distant future.

Re: Do you ever?
I started working on the fic I'm attempting to write at the moment after seeing a you tube video with a certain song on it.
I have a feeling though the scene with the song intertwined throughout it is going to be somewhat of a tear jerker!

Absolutely. There's a scene in the next (and probably last) part of Z'Val - which I am still working on, although progres remains slow - with seaglass that popped into my head because I found a bunch of seaglass at the beach. I think that such scenes/stories are often the easiest to write because you can see them so clearly.
