He created a truly iconic figure, and will be gratefully remembered and sadly missed.

Exactly.
Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four
And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

Leonard Nimoy's passing is sad, but it has been wonderful to see the many and varied tributes. I hope he realized what an amazing impact he had.

Happy Pi Day! There's one day each century with the date 3.1415 and time 92653 and today is the day.
Having been a math major long ago, I thought I should celebrate. Getting a t-shirt and the Scientific American special issues featuring Pi (three of em over the last 50 years or so) didn't seem quite sufficient, so we're having pecan pie for dessert.

Re: Randomness
I'm wondering just how accurately you measured the time there.

Re: Randomness
Probably not accurately enough. I think I was getting dressed when the moment passed in my time zone.

Re: Randomness
I was eating key lime pie at that precise moment. Only, I did it at 9:26:53 PM not AM because key lime pie and pancakes seemed a bit much.
Very funny, Scotty. Now beam down my clothes.
Re: Randomness
Y'all know, I probably didn't know the decimal value of pi past 3.14 prior to today but will now be aware of it now to the ninth digit for the next hundred years. I hope I can occupy my time til then to properly celebrate it.

Re: Randomness
Today was my first full day without crutches. I'll still be using a cane for a while but that is so much easier! It was such a pretty day that I walked a little over a mile after work.

Don't eat what, the chocolate eggs or the bunnies?

Re: Randomness
Happy Yuri's Night! Yuri Gagarin was the first human in space on April 12 54 years ago. 20 years after that, the first Space Shuttle launched on April 12. For the last 14 years, there have been parties and events around the world (including in Antartica and on the International Space Station) to celebrate the past, present and future of space exploration.
Star Trek shows up in many of the events. I was just looking at photos from a party in Argentina honoring Leonard Nimoy and Senor Spock.
I didn't manage to make it to an event or plan a party this year. Maybe next year...

Happy Earth Day! So far, this is the only planet we've got. We had better take good care of it!
