Re: Our youngest convert?
My 13 year old grandson asked to borrow my first year of Enterprise DVDs to watch when he was home sick. He had seen a couple of episodes with me about a month ago and decided he wanted to see more. Not quite a fan yet, but he's working on it.

Wouldn't it be safer to put something like "A dry quantantaive analysis of the morals and religious themes within Enterprise. Fictions with a factual basis accompanied by references and footnotes will only be considered. Action, romance, and Porthos are not allowed."

But that makes it forbidden fruit! You know that the more taboo you make something for kids, the more they'll want it

Yeah, Porthos is an adult. He taught Archer all he knows. He should be allowed full access!

'Cause Porthos is cute... and kids like cute... therefore kids would like stories with Porthos in them.
Emberchyld logic. Gotta love it

Re: Our youngest convert?
I was just thinking about pets on ST. We have Porthos in ENT, Spot (Data's cat) in TNG. I don't remember any pets, off hand, on VOY, DS9, or TOS. But then, my memory is not that good. Anyone remember any other pets? It is too bad T'Pol did not bring a sehlat aboard Enterprise, LOL. But I don't imagine Vulcans were big on pets aboard ships. Must be a weird Human thing (from the Vulcan viewpoint).

Oh, yeah. The fish was in a tank in the wall in his ready room. Guess I forgot because a fish does not interact much with its companion Human.

I always thought it was there for the same reason they have them in doctor's offices.

It's flavored with passionfruit
an appropriate ingredient, don't you think?
