I guess that is really a striking photo of Imie in the tree! And the tree reflects her time of life - starting to blossom. I forgot about the barefeet, LOL. She does that a lot. Oh, she dances too - jingle dress and fancy shawl. Dylan is growing so fast he will soon need a new dance outfit. And of course he should be dancing with a roach instead of head bandana and mocs in stead of tennis shoes. But try keeping a growing kid in shoes that fit! JusTrip'n, I guess you know all about trying to keep boys in shoes that fit!

Hey, CX, I have a friend who flew PBY Catalinas in WWII. Yeah, I am partial to flying boats. My husband found a guy who flew the China Clippers and got him to speak at The Mitchell Gallery of Flight (museum at Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee) for a friends of the museum meeting. Jim is one of the directors of the museum. The Coast Guard uses helos and jets these days. The EAA air show at Oshkosh Wisconsin is one of the few places you can see a variety of these old aircraft and the latest experimental stuff covering acres and acres of land. Some small private aircraft and homebuilts have their owners camping in tents right under their airplane's wings - and clothing drying on the wings! The show is the last week in July each year. Jim and I work with the Coast Guard at the show each year, manning the coms center (for boat patrols), crewing on the boats, standing watch at the recruiting booth....and getting to wander all over the air show! They have some great aerobatic performances. They even had a biplane with jet assist which would climb straight up into the sky like it was going for escape velocity! Unfortunately, that particular pilot was killed in another air show - collison with another aircraft he was stunting with. But anyway, Jim and I do 'working' vacations. It keeps us young.

Mitchell, your pictures ( a couple of pages ago) are so beautiful!
The scenary is very much like what I see here where I live, only I'm not right out in the big fields. Ever just sit out there and enjoy the view?
You're probably too busy farming, huh? Very pretty.
Linda, I love the picture of Image in the tree! And what a great and original name! It is very effective with the flowers surrounding her. I bet my mother would have loved riding in one of those boats. She loved the water. I still kind of prefer my feet on the ground, though. Cool pictures.

Yeah, Image-in-the-tree is about my favorate photo of her. She looks a bit like T'Poptarts, doesn't she? It was great that her name turned out so well. My daughter Heather was in a punk phase when pregnant with her. Heather's friends were suggesting punk names like household appliances - refrigerator, stove,....honest! Then someone said 'mirror' and Heather thought 'mirror image...Image! By the time Dylan came along she was out of her punk phase.

I hope you didn't think I was badmouthing your boat Linda. She really is a beautiful craft. Truly lovely. It's just that still lakes/ponds and muscle powered boats like canoes and rowboats are more my speed. I like to take it slow and easy, watching the ripples and smelling the quiet air. I flee to the water to hide, not for excitement.

Naw, I didn't think you were bad mouthing the boat. But I just have to brag overtime about 'its' accomplishments and abilities, I guess. Do I sound like Scotty in that tribble episode, LOL?
You know, he let the Klingons say anything about his captain but started to throw punches when they said something about his ship? Didn't mean to sound that way...
Hey, the captain would be me. Guess I do think more of the boat than of the captain.
Yeah, I do. Still a very green captain, more used to being just a deck hand.

T'Poptarts, you are very pretty, but I don't think that means you have to "fall in love" if you don't want to.
