I guess I'm like a total weirdo. Like usually it's "sci-fi & fantasy". Like tied together. But as much as I like sci-fi I just can't really get into fantasy stuff like vampires or fairies and stuff like that. 
Well like sometimes I like fantasy stuff (like depends what it's about) but it happens kinda rarely. I'm generally not into the fantasy genre at all Oh well but everyone already knows what kinda frelled up freak I am, guess my frelled up genre mismatch shouldn't come as a big surprise to anyone

Uh, oh, LOL. My latest story which I will submit to Triax as soon as my beta's work it over good, is called "The Vampire in the Bog". I wanted it to be somewhat seasonal since we are coming up on Halloween. It's a Trip and T'Pol story, but it looks like the title may put people off!
Working on a major fan fic project. Two-thirds done. Hope to put it up in the not TOO distant future.

Space vampires=good
Fairies=bad
Warp-powered fairies=good
And IMO middle earth is just the WRONG place for pointy ears.

Um ... Trek is fantasy. They pretty much throw any realistic science out the window, hence it is space fantasy, not science fiction. Instead of elves and orcs, Trek has Vulcans and Klingons. Instead of magic, they have psionics and technobabble and holodecks. Instead of wizards, they have godlike aliens of the week (i.e. Q).
Something like Contact or that Red Mars book (which I did try to read back when it first came out, but didn't like it) is actual science fiction...
