At last, Z'Val chapter 6 has been submitted. I usually want the chapters a touch longer, but this one refused to cooperate. Once in a while I am reminded of eScribe's memorable quote: "The Forgotten Shackles - I Mean Time..."

waiting for your fanfic to post is the longest wait in time. and you feel like a freak cause you hit F5 so much. and then clear out your cache a little, just in case y'know, you're viewing an expired page....or is this just me?

Nope. I've gotten less obsessive over the years, though. Now I only check the site three times a day instead of twenty when I'm waiting for a story to go up.

And then there are the obsessive checks to see if anyone has placed any comments...

I'm alllllllmost done one fic-- a few more paragraphs to go once my brain starts working again (a person from Trip's past returns), half of the way through another (Trip n' T'Pol go on vacation), blocking out the last installment of "The Sound of Logic", and I really wish I could do a halloween fic, but I think that will only be done by New Years.

Hopefully, once I get past my skating competition at the end of the month, I'll have enough energy to actually finish. You know it's bad when you're falling asleep while writing your own fics.

At work in the middle of a busy day I used to go across the hall into the digital xray room and use the computer there to acess triptpolers and check my comments and then I'd clear the cache so the dentist wouldn't figure me out. Except he was too dumb to know how to check the cache, so I needn't have bothered. But I could just picture getting caught. And um, everyone there would have known who to pin it on.

My Vampire in the Bog should be up soon...maybe even today! Its submitted - all three chapters, but they will be put up a couple of days apart, serial fashion.

I can't wait to read other people's soon-to-be-posted stories! But I've got a straw weaving workshop to teach this afternoon, so won't be able to do that three times a day checking for my story or other people's new stories. Have to wait until tonight, darn it.

What do people prefer -- a story that's pretty much finished so that you're getting chapters on a regular basis, say every week or so, or a story that's posted as the chapters are finished, even though that could be several months apart?
