Trip-or-Treat -- a Halloween ficlet

It's not much, but it's a little ficlet for Halloween. Perhaps someone else can continue it...

Trip: So, whatcha wearing to the trick-or-treat party tonight?

T'Pol: I was not planning on participating in the solicitation of sugar confections.

Trip: Aww, you've gotta come.

T'Pol: Why?

Trip: 'Cause it'll be fun.

<eyebrow>

Trip: Think of it as another cultural exchange. You enjoyed christmas carols last year.

T'Pol: Indeed. They were quite... pleasureable. <she looks up into his eyes>

<beat>

Trip: So..?

<eyebrow>

Trip: You commin'?

T'Pol: I am on my way to retrieve a costume from Lt Hess.

Trip: But you said you weren't commin'

T'Pol: I said I was not participating in the 'trick or treat' portion of the festivities. I will be attending the party.

Trip: <smile> So, borrowin a costume from Hess huh. What is it?

T'Pol: It is a surprise.

Trip: <close> Will I like the surprise?

<beat>

T'Pol: You have often told me that I 'look good' in red.

ok, yeah, ya caught me - V4Boo was in the back of my head all day (why wouldn't it be? ) -- but in this story Trip and T'Pol are 'together'. nudge nudge wink wink

I just got the image of T'Pol saying Trick or Treat in her Vulcan way - aka the solicitation of sugar confections. And I was reminded of last years ficlets on HoT with Trip teaching T'Pol about christmas carols.
