Try a turnip mortar. Turnips are harder to carve than pumpkins, so may pack more of a punch. Besides they are smaller so you can stock pile more of them, ha, ha. Or an apple mortar. My brother can vouch for apples launched with his own arm. We had a couple of apple trees in our yard. I used to get real mad when I was handing out candy on Halloween as a kid, and my brother would sneak around the side of the house with apples and pelt kids I was giving treats to. :? :(

I've never heard of that! That's terrible. I'm a big cat lover myself.

It sounds like Aureilia made out like a bandit! The way she's looking at her bucket in the third to last picture I get the impression that she caught right on to this getting candy thing. What a cutie!

Thanks Jadzia! Yes, she caught on AMAZINGLY quickly. Brrrr...the cats, huh? I keep mine in too. Where we live is one of the "witchcraft capitals of the world" apparently. You don't notice anything until a day after Halloween and there's reports of missing cats and the oldest graveyards have some creepy/criminal/vandalistic evidence in them.

I just dont understand people who torture animals. Pets are so dependent, so vulnerable! I have seen graveyard vandalism - usually those nice photos behind glass frames on gravestones are the first things to get vandalized. Kinda sick, very disrespectful. All so sneaky and cowardly. And really hard to catch the perpetrators.

I saw Psycho. 8)

Cute pics! I especially like the sixth and seventh. The elders look so happy. Aurelia reminds me of Cecily Barker's Apple-blossom fairies. :)

Yes love the photos of the little winged one! Forgot to mention that when I got caught up with the animal abuse thing.

My adorable little "babies" last Halloween:

Image

Chris bought a fright wig for his twin brother and when he put it on, they looked exactly the same. That's what they are laughing at. They are saying, "I look just like you!" "You look just like me!" They are standing in front of a mirror. At the time they had had different hair for about 5 years, and didn't look like twins. This year, now that Chris cut his afro, they DO look exactly alike. Big problem for ME.

Mom can't tell them apart, now? They sure will get a lot of mileage out of that! Are they identical twins?

They are quite annoyed by my incompetence. Yes, they are identical!

And that's them on the wall!

My evil dad's an identical twin. But his twin is Less Evil. Are any of you surprised I'm descended from an Evil Twin?  Not a one of you. Thought so.

Love your twin pix! The portrait behind them is so funny next to them as big honking teens.

So...when you had two babies the same age....how did you not go insane? Or do you just go insane promptly at their birth and just stay that way?

Oh... what a cute little munchkin! I love the last picture!

And justTripn, I hope your boys don't play tooooooo many twin tricks on you! They don't have any dissimilarities?

My late grandma (my mother's mother) was a twin and her younger siblings are twins too. She wasn't evil though. Well and like my mother's not a twin but she's evil enough for at least 2 people :? :? :? :? guess you're not the only one descended from evil. :? :p
