Re: Books
I finished the second book in George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire saga the other day, titled A Clash of Kings. Great series and I'm about to start on book three, A Storm of Swords.

She's got an awfully nice bum!

Reading: Sue Grafton's T is for Trespass
Re: Books
Finished T is for Trespass and CSI: In Extremis. Now reading: Murder on Mulberry Road by Victoria Thompson . Absolutely, (IMO) one of the best series.
Re: Books
I got StarTrek Excelsior Forged in Fire. It sounds really like it's going to be an interesting book it ties into the back story of the ds9 tv show Blood oath and the Enterprise episodes Affliction & Divergence's consequences. We'll get to see Captain Sulu and Curzon Dax.

Re: Books
Just finished "Yarn Harlot". A very amusing book for any knitter (or non-knitter. Since I just started knitting, I'm not a real "Knitter" yet)

Re: Books
If you read a book about knitting... you're a knitter

Re: Books
oh, no... after reading this book, I'm more than positive that I'm a knitter and not a Knitter.
(aside: it's actually pretty funny whether you knit or not. A face off between a knitter and a crazy squirrel intent on stealing her yarn is good no matter what)

Re: Books
Reading...the entire New Testament in 30 days. Works out to about 8 chapters a day. It's pretty amazing. I'll be reading along, and suddenly... "Wow! So THAT'S where that's from!" Never tried to do it all in order. I'm Catholic, so we get it all, but in disjointed pieces over a couple of years on Sundays. This way I get the gist of the author's...or probably editor's in most cases...thought processes. Way cool.

Re: Books
Lee and I aren't Christian, but we've read aloud good portions of the old testament out of interest....and yeah....you're totally like OOOooooooOOHHHHHHH! That's where that comes from! The NIV Student's Bible is awesome cause it explains stuff/people/history in every page. Way more accessible than the boring old Gideon copy in my bookshelf.
Okay...*I'M* reading a delightful story by a relatively obscure author....one Robyn Sullivent Gries. Strange New Worlds 10!!!!! I love it! Hopeful Romantic is #1!
