I've been following this story for the past several days as I'm sure at least some of you have. Looks like they found her grave, but the guy is still on the run.

Rest easy, Marine. :(

That SOB needs to suffer painfully for his actions.

Poor, poor girl.
The tale is notan uncommon one, though to be sure it doesn't usually feature the Marine Corps.
The major cause of death in pregnant women is murder.

*IF* the son of a bitch is guilty... (guilty until proven innocent, always)... but IF he is guilty, I submit that the marines are always in need or targets on their practice ranges.

I hope that they get the killer on *two* counts of murder. That's heinous. Her poor family.

I sure hope justice is done. But even if all that can be done by law is done, it can never make up for the loss of life.
Working on a major fan fic project. Two-thirds done. Hope to put it up in the not TOO distant future.

It's so.
Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four

And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

That's been the hot topic of discussion on the Marine Corps boards... in NC there are no "fetal homicide" laws for killing a pregnant woman, but a year or so ago apparently President Bush signed such a law into the Uniform Code of Military Justice, so if he is tried in military court, he could.

There are dozens of opinions on exactly how this will go if(when) they catch him... Whether the civilian courts will get him or the military courts will, or both in some order. Someone claimed that it's not double jeopardy to be tried by both, but who knows.

Let's just hope they catch him first thing first.

I'm thinking that this will be tried in military court since it was commited by a Marine against another Marine. It would be more clear-cut if it had happened on base, but I don't know if it did or not.

They found his truck in North Carolina, but he's still missing so they think he's holed up somewhere with someone....
